I deliberately paid for and flew in the Throne Seat from MIA to ZRH on their 777 in Sept. 2023. I loved it. The crew was not cold at all, but rather friendly and full of smiles. I had a chance to bid for First Class, but changed my mind when I realized how little space would be between me and the aisle (door). Yes, complete privacy is nice, but, with the doors closed, I thought it would be claustrophobic. Flyers should also be aware of the bulkhead Throne Seat I reserved for my return flight. With so much space, the wall in front of me was a pleasant addition to privacy. Also, there was a large shelf in front of me for even more storage. Sometimes it is nice to simply reach in front, rather then to the side. I loved having a pocket on the floor for my shoulder bag. Since it was unenclosed, I could reach down without having to open or lift anything. With SO much storage space and "counter" space on both sides, there was never any clutter. The bulkhead seat DID have the distraction of the lavatory right in front. For me, it was more of a convenience for scheduling my own trips, rather then a noisy distraction. I enjoyed your review, but I tend to agree with the crew about your recording. I love to privately day dream when I am 35,000 feet above earth with 10 hours to kill. I would have been really annoyed at any passenger with was forcing my attention to his activities, i.e., bright lights. It is fine to record your experience quietly and unnoticed, but when you interfere with the peaceful journey of the other passengers, then I am on their side, not yours. On the flip side, I really enjoyed reliving my Throne Experience - just don't bother the crew and passengers while you are doing it. I applaud the crew for protecting themselves and the passengers, and forbidding you to interfere with their protocol. They should not kowtow to every TH-camr who wants to make a recording of their flight.
It's a great seat. In fact, it won my "best C seat of the year" in my video from earlier this month!

That's a shame. I think they still have the old product on the A340. Maybe even the A330, I can't remember.

Somehow I missed the noodle bar in that lounge when I visited it last fall. Will have to check it out next time, and of course the other lounge that was closed during your visit. I really enjoy when lounges have something unique to offer, like the Sake bar or the Swiss whisky bar in Zurich.
The noodle bar is really well hidden in the corner!

If you're traveling solo, the throne is a great choice. On Swiss, it's better on the 777 than on the Airbus aircraft.
Hi Markus, first of all, great effort on the making of this video. Secondly, you handle comments well. I myself receive weird comments that just want to point negatives without suggesting any ideas to improve. Hello. I'll fly Swiss coming march 2024 flying from Budapest to São Paulo Guarulhos - Brazil. I'll also fly Bussiness class in the Boeing 777 300er. Back to Hungary I'll fly TAP Air Portugal. I have seen your video. Well we will see how the service will be. Last year I flow the same traject only to Brazil with Air France and back to Hungary with KLM. Booth flights was very fine and good.
