Tip for hammerdins... you can actually hit hammers through the windows and the main door reliably. Takes a little practice but it's a super safe farming option. #KnowWhereToStand
Paladin does really well in trav especially FoH ad you can snipe at a relatively safe distance
My fanazealot just laughs at the council. Granted my merc is like 65/35 on his survival lol

If you can’t survive hell council yet, farm in NM a bit longer. They drop nice gear there already.
TERRORIZED NM TRAV IS PRETTY DECENT I WOULD ALWAYS GO ON MY BARB WHEN IT POPPED
Kira's Guardian and Temper are awesome helm options for a merc, but if you personally need more +fire res to deal with conviction auras then Flickering Flame on a merc can be a great alternative

Adding a rising sun amulet to your dwarnstar ring and the fire then heals you. I imagine any 2/3 combination of dwarf, rising sun and twmper helm will do the same aswell.
I love that the trav is difficult to farm without great gear it keeps your skills sharp
Ya i am happy the way i started ladder. Intentionally using very budget gear for a couple day, then trade for an upgrade or 2 each day or so. Was fun getting better and better each day.
I'm doing a ssf hc goldfarm barb now. Gonna see if I can roll it as a throwbarb for shits and giggles
You can also put on a Rising Sun with the Dwarf star to absorb even more fire damage (Fire damage will heal you instead if your resistances are good enough)

My Amazon doesn't have full fire resist on her own, so I use Flickering Flame on my merc and it helps keep her alive. OH also, yesterday I found two Jah from Travincal in less than an hour.
After 3 mouses and 2 monitors, I feel you man.
Hammerdin with Rising sun ammy and dual dwarf star is absolutely invincible at Trav, your physical hits get INSTANTLY filled by the fire leech, and the kill speed is great, I ran trav up to an enigma in a couple of days with a hammerdin, I found a Jah, and the Ber I cubed up, and sur and vex to spare
I use the stair trick with the sunmonmancet
geared up throw barb actually follows a different strategy and all the council members pilling up (around your merc) is the best case, so you can all hit them with pierce. With decrep they are just melting in seconds, no issues with healing whatsoever. Unfortunately, you are often at the mercy of the braindead merc AI and using the stairs is only an option after getting quite a lot of gear upgrades.. But after that, just play it like frenzy with additional pierce built in

I have the meta strat for trav which makes hydra's heal you, perfect for hardcore 😁.
Rhyme is so good, I use it on all my characters.
i find that singer is the best for trav runs especial i only do HC.

I’m not sure if it is a glitch, but I was having a problem where if I used the stairs to Dur level one when I came back out the bodies that I have not horked yet have disappeared
I've had the bodies disappear when I didn't even leave the area, no one else was in my game, and I have no cold damage, so they didn't shatter. It's odd.
If you "leave the area" the bodies can disappear, ya.
Its actually called Reaper's 'Toad'.

I might be an idiot… you said you need a one handed weapon for WW? You can’t do whirlwind with a one handed and shield or x2 two handed weapons?
You either miss heard what i was saying or i miss spoke and didn't catch it. You can ww with a one hand weapon and shield, and also ww with 2 weapons.
I don’t have a problem with surviving them I just can’t get any drops off them no matter how many runs I do terrorize or regular players count or mf I just can’t get anything but gold fills up fast only benefit i get

Dude the council sucks, they drop gold, yay… gold. Duriel drops better than the Trav council..
They are also real good source of jewelry and gems. Farming 40 pgems for trade i usually do either trav or cows
why would that work with the Barbarian? The wand itself says "+3 to Life Tap - Necromancer only"
