I must say I am proud of the last shot in Paris, filming the lads leave while walking backwards from the Vicky the Viking picture across the street all the way back to the van. Yes i know it’s not a steadicam but It’s my little tribute to the Goodfella’s kitchen walk 😂. Thanks for all the wonderful messages from around the world about this series, it’s so nice that the production gets noticed. It really is a team effort, we put sweat and tears into this one. It was hard work in that heat wave for all of us and so much driving for Joe but we kept going through the highs and lows and the sense of fun & toy joy got us through. Watching this series go out every Sunday and see the detail in the comments from you “the viewer” is so rewarding. We hope you stick around for the shop episode next week and the “Special Episode” with a mind blowing collection on December 26th. Thanks to every single viewer & thanks to Gav & Joe for another road trip I’ll never forget! Till next time… Matt The Cameraman.
Perhaps you could add "No drones were harmed in the making of this series" - if that's the case of course! I've always been mightily impressed by the production quality, when I first found you I assumed when Joe mentioned it being a series that it was on Prime because it has that quality feel. I'm sure people would be interested in a spin off where you look at your kit - electronics and high heat must have been a challenge in and of itself...
The quality of these episodes is a huge credit to all involved in their creation. I still can’t help but do a little cheer every time someone says “Matt the camera man” - that recognition is thoroughly deserved 👏👏👏
@@ExcelsiorsDomain Honestly I only saw it once in a movie-length adaptation of Once Upon a Time in Space on Nickelodeon in the 80s. It had a lasting impact on me.

And yes it was really cheap but great designs and loved the little figures. That shop was amazing! Surprised you left with only a handful of toys. Great episode!

I remember buying my very first Godaikin from Lulu Berlu some years back, it was a Biorobo DX Godaikin. Loose, sword handle snapped in half, but comes with the Biodragon as well, and everything in really good nick. Superb value and so much care in shipping. I've always wanted to visit it, will do soon someday. Thank you lads for letting me visit through you vicariously.
8:13 - Barbapapa (pronounced Barber Pupper). He was big in the UK in the Seventies. There was a TV cartoon, books, toys etc. then he faded away here. Still going fairly strongly in France, though.
Another great episode from another fantastic tour - well done guys and thank you! All those Ulysses 31 toys and Battle of the Planets!! 😲😍 Btw, I remember having an Asterix lunchbox and flask as a kid, even though I was never really that into him, but I hope it's still stashed in the back of a cupboard at my parents house somewhere! 🤞
I always find it fascinating when I see franchises in other countries that are virtually unknown in mine. Asterix, Tintin, nearly unheard of in the US. It's so cool seeing them featured so prominently. It's similar to the video game scene in the 70's and 80's. Home computers were a serious luxury here, and games were all about consoles, but in the UK, it was nearly all computers that everyone gamed on. Also, we called the pocket money toys pegwarmers!
Peg warmers, we used that to describe toys that just wouldn’t sell. Pocket money toys we really need to do a show on one day, the variety of toys you could find is amazing.
Another amazing episode. I had Liddle Kiddles inside plastic charm necklaces that came from a relative in America. Very cute. Oooo and I had that Rubik's Serpent toy.

Brilliant last episode, what a shop that was, full of goodness, I’ve said before, your passion and knowledge really shines. Absolute credit to Matt for capturing it all. Only question, does Gav own anything clothing other than a plain black shirt and what’s in his ever present satchel
