    TESTIMONIALS
    ‘Started hitting the moves laid out in these courses the very next class...extremely uplifting to have such a quick improvement in my game’ - Houston, TX
    ‘I’m the only white belt in the academy doing these moves…I’m suddenly competing at a blue belt and above level…thanks Coach Tom’ - LA, California
    ‘Some of the best strategies you are going to see for control and submission’ - London, UK
    ‘The detailed way Prof Tom breaks down his moves into the absolute essentials is just next level for me. This is absolute gold‘ - Sydney, Australia
    ‘Most of the guys at my Academy, have about 60lbs on me, but since purchasing your ‘Kimura Attack system’ and ’14 days’ everything has changed. I feel much more confident, roll better and the guys on the mat have commented on the same. Thanks, Coach Tom’ - Dallas, TX
    ‘I know you have your names for your courses, but I’ve renamed them the ‘Zero to hero’ courses, I went from getting constantly owned, to now being completely dominant on the mat in no time at all’ - San Diego, California
    ‘I use the course material heaps, and just recently put it into action at a local comp, walked away with double gold. No one was more surprised than me! - Miami, Florida
    ‘As a new white belt, these classes have helped me so much, Prof Tom’s technique, the details, and his attitude. I love how Prof. Tom shows the ‘mistakes people make’ and then shows the correct way of doing things. The only one I have ever seen do this’ - New York, New York
    Great videos, great instruction. I just watch them for hours…Melbourne, Australia
    ‘The instructional saved me big time at a recent comp, my opponent was def more experienced, but that was ok, coz I had Prof Tom’s video in my brain. Nailed it and scored gold’ - Colorado, Denver
    ‘All of it. Everything you show in your awesome videos are now my ‘go to techniques’. Thanks for your vids Prof, Tom’ - Houston, TX
    ‘You really have to watch every second of the video because Prof, Tom drops these little nuggets of gold throughout the course. And they make ALL the difference. The only one doing this. Keep them coming Professor’ - NY, New York
    ‘If I could only be taught from one person, Prof Tom would be it. I can’t wait to train in person one day’ - Dallas, TX
    ‘Went to a recent competition with these videos fresh in my mind. I knew I had an edge and the confidence this gave me was unreal. Got the gold. All submission wins! - LA, California

    Coach Tom, your comments early in the video ring true to me - often, finishing the techniques isn’t the hard part... it’s setting them up that is challenging. In my opinion this is one of the biggest gaps in instructional video content , e.g. detailed instructions on setting up techniques. It’s as if those are secrets that nobody wants to share. My biggest annoyance as a blue belt is that I have a degree of knowledge and proficiency in a nice set of techniques, but I feel like I rarely get to use them because I can’t set them up.

      This is common Aaron so dont feel alone! I prefer to teach a student one submission and then 10 ways in rather than 1 way into ten sub variations. Hope this viewpoint helps your training progress. (-: Coach Tom Davey

    I just got comfortable doing the omoplata and have been successful in setting it up but my opponents must see it coming and roll out. It seems like just grabbing the belt doesn't work for me. Help me coach Tom, I wanna Finish!!!! Hahaha

    • @TheGrapplingAcademy
      @TheGrapplingAcademy  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hold the belt and kick their shoulder like crazy. However, the roll out is almost expected against explosive skilled guys so use it to your advantage and get up and reroll for the omoplata back grab. If you don't know what I mean, I will have to get a video made! (-: Tom Davey

    I turned off adblock on your channel :)
    I was thinking about "spreading out your word" and do some videos with Sensei Ando Mierzwa.(7k wiews) (he does bjj too.(blue blet i think)"let the smile be your shield and your sword"
    Ando lastly no upload on his channel, he may be happy for you.
    Shane Fazen(new white belt)."Self defense for the underdogs"
    He do mostly Muay Tai, but likes bjj.
    From the whole internet I use techniques mostly from your instructions.
    You got bank account right?

    Hi coach, consider it is a mma fight, would It be too difficult to go for omaplata, should I not even bother working on this move? (I got a month and half btw) I have short but very strong limbs(and body) I also have full leg and hip flexibility. what techniques would you suggest I focus on improving? So far, I play alot of kesa getame, side mount and full guard.

    • @TheGrapplingAcademy
      @TheGrapplingAcademy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its hard to answer these questions BT without us having a training relationship. That close to an mma fight, focus on basics and getting to your strongest positions. I obviously get a lot of questions and wish I could answer them all (both from a financial and technical point of view). Good luck BT! (-: Tom Davey
