For those of the listening young among us, under 65 that is, Kantner and Co. do a damn good representation on this video of that vibe that defined SF during the Acid Age. Amazing only 5,000 or so have found this gem. And it's also amazing Kantner et al carried the torch for so long. Nobody I knew of in '66 would have imagined the flame would burn so bright so long.
Seeing old bands when oneself has gotten old with them. Do you see them for what they do up there right now? Or when they are peaking/ in their prime ? The question with no answer or a thousand answers.
Jefferson Starship should have stopped touring when The Jefferson Airplane broke up. This band is horrible On stage both musically and visually. Paul should have Just come on stage solo. Would have been a better show.
I'm one of those under 65 types that followed JS/TNG since the beginning. I've heard a few PK birthday shows on TH-cam but nothing like the sound quality of this soundboard. This is fantastic. I'm going to have to play this in my HT with some tasty Neural:X or Auromatic upmix.
Darby Gould said it right....Thats a rock n roll orchestra up there....Barry Sless on steel pedel, Prairie Prince and Donny Baldwin on drums...Chris Smith and Tim Gorman on keyboards, Pete Sears on Bass, Slick Aguilar on guitar, David Freiberg on guitar and vocals....Mr. Jefferson himself Paul Kantner, Darby Gould who is now singing with Big Brother and the Holding Co. ....Cathy Richardson who sings in todays version of Jefferson Starship....
@@RainNSnow GRACE SAID IT NOT ME HOG besides he sucks on stage now he plays piano guitar ,,,,,, but you would never know he stands around looking fat just singing like he is MARTY BALIN >>>>> and her trying to do three part harmony all by herself what a JOKE
B.A.T.E was recorded when Grace and Paul were deeply in love. Jerry and David were in their prime too. The album reflects that and is still excellent. Too bad everything fell apart, starting with Chrome Nun.
Paul Kanter...one of the Standard Bearer's for that era of LOVE, PEACE & UNDERSTANDING.❤❤💋💋💋
Excellent

Edward Dimmer how would have it been better....he wouldn't draw enough for gas money under a bill with just his name...

Good show... seems no real need to be theatrical.
Back then the Airplane stood there and did it.
You rocked it!!
Grace Slick was talking about David Frieberg when she said " old people don't belong on stage " !
have you no sence of decorum?

Chrome Nun is a great album.
@@paulschmitz9175 I agree.
Once Jorma & Jack left the Airplane, that was it. Starship was just a 'soft-rock' pop band.
i saw starship a few times GRACE SLICK IS GRACE fucking SLICK ! Craig Chaquico is one of the best guitarists in the world
This is sad.
the opening Fat Angel jam is classic...most of the show is rather sketchy.
How embarrassing can this get?
With Cathy Richardson onstage it's never anything BUT embarrassing.

I've seen the "real thing" dip shit. Original band. Not this tribute act. Go away, troll.
This is nothing more than a tribute act. Original band was an incredible experience and not this half-ass configuration of wanna be musicians.
