      Yeah I was worried there for a few minutes 😂 not really! These guys deserve to have as much time as they want with my car after all the hard work they put into it!

    Sounds nice for sure. A Whipple or Procharger is the way to go for boost. I’ve owned both. I did FBO’s and Heads and Cam on my SS 1LE. Either way, these cars make great power. I just like to hear the chop chop. The only thing I will say is, don’t get greedy with the boost. The stock LT1 pistons will not like a lot of boost. Make sure you have a good tune, and plenty of fuel as well. Let’s see some dyno numbers next. More importantly, make sure the AF is spot on.

      @DroppinGearz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks! Yeah I know the safe limits of this stock block and I want it to be fun but not push it to the point I have to worry about it. I plan to add some headers soon and then get it tuned. I have been looking around for all of my tuning options and I think I have narrowed it down. As soon as that is done, Dyno numbers will be posted for sure! Thanks for watching!!!

      You definitely should do headers, that will help with exhaust scavenging. Good luck!

    Yeah, that reservoir is an abyss, but it eventually tops off. Sure seems more than 2.5 gals. Invest in a “Mighty Mouse” vented catch for sure!!! Those LT1’s have CHEAP front crank seals. Was fun for about 15,000 miles, then the issues began.🥴 Pulled the motor, forged it, cam,injectors, high side, heads, alky, spec 2 clutch, tuned…now it’s some real fun (and dependable)…😆

      @mikehogan5087 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is the 5th gen camaro ss more relaible in terms of boost compared to the 6th gen camaro ss?

    • @TBSSPILOTviews
      @TBSSPILOTviews ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikehogan5087 sure seems that way. The LT1 has tight ring gaps, and even though it will make easy power at 6psi, it’s a matter of how long, and they are using wafer thin front seals, and unless the ventilation (crankcase) system is moded…it’s gonna push that seal out. The LS3 seals are much beefier. The LS3 seems to be a less expensive platform, and seems to be more reliable. But frankly, if you are boosting, forge it! That way you can put your foot in it and the damn thing will survive. I’ve had pro charged low boosted LS2 with a good tune from PCMforless, and had no issues. Through a Whipple on my 2018, and the seal issue came up twice. Pulled the damn thing, had it clearanced and forged internals, cam, valve train upgrades, ARP head& main bolts, fuel system upgrades (injectors & high side pump) , Alky Control with boost juice, tune….now it can hang dependably. But it cost some bucks..

    Marty went skirt skirt! I was gradually nice to it 😬 I wasn’t there for the headaches aka bumper and spark plugs so for me it was all fun 🤪 Might have been slower cuz I always had INSTRUCTIONS in hand 🤣 but she running good 🤘🏽

    do you have any drivability issues with rev match on? that goes away when rev match is turned off?

    • @DroppinGearz
      @DroppinGearz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No issues with Rev match on at all... the few drivability issues I had at the very beginning have most of the way gone away since I have been driving the car and getting the remaining air out of the system but never had anything to do with rev match

      @DroppinGearz  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      8-10 psi should be safe but we have added a UPR check valve breather oil cap to relieve boost pressure since this video was made. Car is still running very strong. Thank you!

    Did you go with forged internals and zl1 fuel pump and injectors system?

    • @DroppinGearz
      @DroppinGearz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No because the 2019 SS1LE can handle it with what it has from factory for the amount of power I am looking to make… as far as the fuel pump, there is a very weird thing about the 2019 SS1LE only… it has the HPFP wiring from a Silverado 🤦🏼‍♀️ so the ZL1 pump wouldn’t work. Also the injectors from stock are more than capable for the amount of power I want… not trying to go more than 600ish… rwhp

    • @DroppinGearz
      @DroppinGearz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neither option is cheap, just on what you decide on preference. Both are good options. Boost is something you don’t cheap out in unless you have fabrication skills.

    This video is so disappointing I don't know who has these amateurs working on her car. Whenever you hear "I don't know just start it up". Or " just put some more of that in there". When someone tries to convince you of a wine that never exist. And the person who supposed to be doing your zero to 60 but doesn't even know how to put it in track? After all this work is done I would immediately and take it to a professional.

    • @DroppinGearz
      @DroppinGearz  ปีที่แล้ว

      The amateur were ourselves because it’s installing parts not rocket science and also hamming up some for TH-cam. Sorry you don’t possess any skills or knowledge to try this type of work and 2 years later car is still running fine. Sorry you don’t understand how engine parts work or how their installed. You keep paying to professionals and I’ll keep enjoying my $$ in my pocket and making my cars go fast.
