As my unpopular opinion goes, my favourite reveal still is Tom's Guitar. It gave me hope for having a Music Sheet book stand alone or music sheets as a part included in the Behind the Secene stuff. And Guitar is much easier for me to replicate on my own than a harp. Now I just hope they make the WoT music royalty free, that way Streamer/TH-camr can use it and spread the love.
Huzzah! You did it! With your challenge (EoTW only) the merged characters becomes extremely difficult. It's a road book so half the characters are throw-aways that nobody cares about merging (ie: innkeepers) and the other half are Thom. On Josha, to steal a phrase from ravenbellebooks, he's Rand the Bland in the first books. That stops in Book [redacted] when he [redacted] and is [redacted]
Woohoo! I have not played the game though, so I can't really comment on that. I actually had forgotten you said Witcher, I was mostly mad that you took my Daniel Henney answer.. AND the Weep for Manetheren speech, cause that was my first thought. But I came up with another one so yay!
Love your videos :) I also dont care much for Rand as a character either, you are not alone. A friend started reading the books recently and was trying to guess my favourite character(Perrin) based on prevous conversations and even she said "Nah, it's not Rand, doesn't feel like you would like him" :D
My most anticipated scene pre-Shadar Logoth: ”Weep for Manetheren...” I imagine the scene won’t play out exactly the same in the show, but I get chills thinking about Rosamund recounting the history of Manetheren.
Yeah, that was my first thought too, but a) Vance had already said that answer and I didn’t want to copy his answer again. And b) I’m honestly not sure how they will do that scene, cause like... it’s Mioraine talking for about 20 minutes. Obviously flashbacks are possible, but well, it seems unlikely to me that it will make it to screen as is
@@LezbiNerdy yeah I think you are right about that. I wonder if they would try a Galadriel-style narrated prologue to one of the episodes or something. Ultimately, I think they’ll need to give us that history somehow, because it’s pretty relevant down the road. Unless the show avoids the Manetheren history entirely.
Question #2. Perrin should not ride a 🐨 Question #1. I agree with the indications that Logain will have an expanded role. Question #6. Moiraine's speech about the history of Manetherine. Question 9: I think the score will have the same vibe as the remake of Battlestar Galactica.

Just a random thought... shifting the series to Moraine’s POV will help a lot to dampen the explicit parallels between EotW and LotR. Of course the parallels will still be there; but now we get to see these parallels through a woman Gandalf’s eyes, allowing for a fresh perspective on the classic tropes (and that many new audiences might potentially see as cliché). Obviously the rest of the WoT series is a fresh look at these tropes by running off in a completely new direction, radically different world building, explicit commentary on gender, etc. But this is not at all obvious, in Eye of the World, to new readers. I think drawing a clearer line that this is a fresh take on the classic tropes, from the beginning, will really help draw in the new audience and potentially subvert the potential criticism that this is a total and lesser rip off of LotR. Which we all know is not actually the case.

I think the Thom actor is also a musician so I assumed they changed it to a guitar because he already knows how to play a guitar.
