Sir, I have a question, that why we need to oven dry the soil for bulk density if we need to measure pore space as well? Don't it exclude the pore space if we oven dry the soil?
Drying does not affect the number of pores in the soil. It only removes the water content. We oven dry the soil to remove the weight of water from the soil. So after drying If there are only soil solid particles so the remaining volume will be only pore space.
As we know Puddling is a process that involves repeated tillage under ponded water. And as the land get more soft and loose I think the volume of the soil increases and so the bulk density should be decreased. But if you have read that in any authentic book then please tell the name of the book.
Soil size par porosity ka effect nhi aaega. Yani density kam jyda hone se soil particle ka size nhi badalega. Par Soil size se soil porosity change hogi. Yani soil particle Chhota hoga to so No of Pore space jyda honge To us se volume jyada hoga To us se density kam hogi. Vo bhi bulk density kam hogi. Par particle density par farak nhi padega .
