lol the whole -reta level series (kowareta kuzureta wasureta) all the songs have really energetic melody but all the lyrics is just extremely dark and depressing
I found this song many years ago and only vaguely remember the original meaning. Iirc it was related to a book of some sort. But when I feel depressed and grieving I return to it because it reminds me of a young child full of possibilities to create, like a God, but everything goes wrong by accidentally speaking malicious intentions that distort things. The creations are beautiful but pathetic and irritating like many features of our aspect of existence, that is based on lies we try to run away from, but there is no boundary separating the reality from our attempted safe haven, there is no escape from the agony. The best intentions to do good but people and life itself seems unworthy of living because they destroy themselves through their own lies. The endless confessions of sins and imagery of blood as symbols of both death and rebirth. An endless cycle of agony and rewinding to the days when things weren't so bad to remove the blood. The black beast being depression and forcing laughs, becoming a walking corpse of insanity rotting away. Dark, a future that is doomed and inevitable. Powerless to change it. It hurts to acknowledge our own pathetic weakness. The voices are the comments we see and take in during our existence from others. Confessions as in their comments go deep into us and we internalize the negative self imagery. Everyone wants harmony. Happiness. But we are all dead. Dead inside. Deadened souls. Beautiful harmonic "screaming" towards the end illustrating the internal despair and hope for change and harmony, a better future. Doubt that's the official meaning, but its mine
@@yannaleyva4554 thats a beautiful interpretation, thanks for sharing². Incredibly, they're the same things I've always thought of listening to this song and reading the lyrics.
like 80% of these translations at best have no cohesion and at worst not even coherence lol. It makes it seem like buzzwords are thrown in to make it seem deeper than it actually is, Im sure the original has alot more nuance though.
It's based off a short story in a collection of short stories in a book called ZOO by otsuichi. The name is, God's word. The story is about a troubled teenager who has, since birth has had the speech to dictate reality, hence "God's word". However, this character is incredibly paranoid as he is paranoid that his fake face that he puts for his classmates and the world around him will eventually be revealed as a farce, and everyone will turn on him. He feels awful, that the eyes of everyone turns and watches him during his daily life, and he can only perform as a perfect normal person under this pressure. One day, he makes the rational decision of wishing all of the humans on earth to have their head fall off as soon as they see another person's head fall off, causing a chain reaction, quickly causing every person in the world to die. He eventually meets this blind girl, who manages to survive since she could not see, but even her will eventually die because of his word. He begins rapidly regretting his decision and breaks down, and decides to reset time, only to realize that this is not his first time resetting time to before he has killed off the world, he has done this dozens of times. Not only that, he is only resetting his memory, and hallucinating his classmates and family alive again due to his own wish. This is why at the end of the song, they mention how time will turn back once again.
LYRICS: My words that granted the meaning of admiring malice Bundles of pity that shine red repetitively are lined up I am already used to my scars my lit irritation The faint harmony that sprouted one pretty thing after another The distorted intention which everyone too had dropped into the bottom The reality which they all hide in fright The lies which they described Which they threw to there It again trickled I just I just wished And still, Relief that won't be satisfied Sentiment that wafts from scattered fingers The left-behind reality that is there, I rewind it towards days that will not change The black beast which i locked up in a papier mache cage I cover my ears and force a laugh imitative affection already Flies off and falls into decay The swirl of insanity that was left behind Dark, the future will perpetually not change as it is peacefully Ah, recompense, It hurts, And the voices which i'm personally forced to carry today too are confessions (Le Wasuretta begins) These are all of my copied wishes "Harmony" The blurring intention which everyone and he too had lost the meaning thereof Within the corpses which I tramp through, The distorted world *that was there* It again trickled I just I just wished And still, Relief that won't be satisfied There is nothing of a boundary Sentiment that wafts from scattered fingers The left-behind reality that is there, I rewind it towards days that will not change

LYRICS:
My words that granted the meaning of admiring malice
Bundles of pity that shine red repetitively are lined up
I am already used to my scars my lit irritation
The faint harmony that sprouted one pretty thing after another
The distorted intention which everyone too had dropped into the bottom
The reality which they all hide in fright
The lies which they described
Which they threw to there
It again trickled
I just
I just wished
And still,
Relief that won't be satisfied
Sentiment that wafts from scattered fingers
The left-behind reality that is there,
I rewind it towards days that will not change
The black beast which i locked up in a papier mache cage
I cover my ears and force a laugh imitative affection already
Flies off and falls into decay
The swirl of insanity that was left behind
Dark, the future will perpetually not change
as it is peacefully
Ah, recompense, It hurts,
And the voices which i'm personally forced to carry today too are confessions
(Le Wasuretta begins)
These are all of my copied wishes "Harmony"
The blurring intention which everyone and he too had lost the meaning thereof
Within the corpses which I tramp through,
The distorted world *that was there*
It again trickled
I just
I just wished
And still,
Relief that won't be satisfied
There is nothing of a boundary
Sentiment that wafts from scattered fingers
The left-behind reality that is there,
I rewind it towards days that will not change
