I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Charlotte Miller.
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Charlotte Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
The very first time we tried, we invested $1000 and after a week, we received $5500. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
My outlook on money changed when I realized someone making $300,000 can retire broke & someone making $80,000 can retire a multi-millionaire. Living within your means and living a frugal lifestyle is the first step to financial independence. I just hit the one million mark last year, cheers to everyone striving to get there someday.
Wow! Congrats on that. Is it preferable for me to save money or allocate a significant amount of my salary to stocks in order to accomplish this goal?
Varied sources of income is wise and especially living within your means. My net worth is over $1M and I can pay my bills with no stress, but I don't live like I have that. I have no complaints.
Although financial advice is arbitrary and what works for one person may not work for another, planning is always preferable. I consider myself fortunate to have been introduced to personal finance at a young age. I started working at the age of 19, purchased my first house at the age of 28, was laid off at the age of 36 during the COVID-19 pandemic, and immediately sought advice from an advisor to manage the expansion of my finances. After further investments, as of right now, I'm only 25% short of my $1 million target
This intrigues me. I've looked up financial advisors online, but finding one to connect with is a bit difficult. Do you mind if I ask for your recommendation?
Well, I chose Kristin Amber Landis as my advisor after her interview on CNBC In 2020. She is SEC regulated with offices in the US and quite frankly a genius with portfolio diversification. You should look her up
I buy greeting cards at the dollar store. They are .50 cents
Same!! People just toss them right in the trash so why waste money
They are a full $1 now here in Indiana.
I bought one recently and they were $1.25 now.
Same!
I rarely send or give them, but when info they’re super expensive ones from the museum or little artists I find online.
My side hustle is making handmade cards. People love them and enjoy how they can be personalized.
I absolutely love this, I also enjoy making handmade cards, but the idea of being able to bring in some extra income from it would be great (or at least cover the costs for more fun supplies lol)
I would add more to the list:
16. McDonalds and most other fast food chains. Why pay for overpriced food that's bad for you too. Pack your own sandwiches for road trips.
17. Starbucks. Make your own coffee at home. Program your coffeemaker's timer so you don't have to get up so early in the morning to make coffee.
18. Amusement parks. You spend most of the day standing in lines and everything in the park is overpriced.
19. Movie Theaters. A splurge nowadays, not just the movie concessions. Even subscriptions like Disney+ are a waste of money too. All the Disney classics are at your local libraries. I just borrow DVD / Bluray from the local library and make my own air popped popcorn at home for the family on movie nights.
20. Faster home internet plans. You most likely don't need Gigabit speeds. Try the basic speed tiers first and make sure you have up to date network equipment like your WiFi router. Never rent your ISP's equipment either. Use your own.
21. Unlimited mobile data plans. You probably don't need it. Wait till you have wifi for big downloads and updates. Save videos and music onto your phone or tablet for offline on the go use.
22. Basic vehicle maintainances. You can service things like the air filters, windshield wipers, bulbs, and car battery yourself.
23. Luxury cars especially German ones. Stick with Toyotas. You just need to get from point A to B. Don't waste money and time on expensive repairs and depreciation.
24. Gym memberships. You can walk around the local park or do workouts for free.
25. Bottled water. In most cases, you can install your own water filter at home. Bring your own filtered water with you.
26. Name brand products. Store brand or generics are often good if not better than the name brand ones.
In this economy with the inflation, we all really need to cut back on spending.
Great tips, for sure.
I’ve improved my body composition by lifting and progressing. Weights are expensive im not quitting my gym membership for that.
It’s easy to get a cheap membership tho I pay $10 a month and use it 4-5 days out of the week.
My German luxe car just reached ten yrs old, I’ve had it for nine and each time I look at it I still get the same joy as the day I bought it. Its style hasn’t aged. If you buy something you truly love, use it often and treat it well, it’s a considered purchase that can bring much happiness. A Toyota can cost just as much depending on which one you buy.
I got married in a restaurant that was closed on Sunday afternoons. It had a room with a fireplace. It was beautiful. I bought a roll of white lace plastic tablecloth that we used to cover their black tables. Wedding and reception in the same room. Awesome!
Brilliant!
We had a ceremony in city hall (not in the US though, a very-very beautiful city hall), then we split our friends into 4 companies and invited them over to celebrate with us every weekend after. Were able to meet people more closely, also, friends had 2-3 days to select from. Had so much fun.
That 1 in 10 families rent a storage unit is a wild stat to me. No wonder there’s been so many new storage unit places pop up by me. My question is what are you storing that you can’t fit in your house, are you a hoarder? Or do you hold inventory for your business? I just never saw a point of those things for the average person.
I have 2 adults and 2 toddlers in an 800sq ft house, and a current inability to buy outright a storage shed for my property. I don't have genuine storage space, so until I can aquire one/get rid of all my belongings, I need to rent one.
@@destinymiller1248you are prob the exception most people just store a bunch of junk they don’t need bec they can’t mentally throw it or give it away.
I love my local movie theatre. It's 110 years old. I'm perfectly happy to overpay them for popcorn to keep them going.
I bet they are happy too
Awesome
Yeah, I know that popcorn and soda are marketing tactics, but I like them when I watch movies. I don't even eat them in any other situation😂
Support theatres and get the concessions a lot of teenagers get their first jobs here! Please support local business and as they are struggling.
Theatre can be 300 yr old I’ll buy popcorn but I’m sneaking candy
Example of an overpriced item would be timeshares. The cheaper alternative would be buying the entire New York City skyline.
I wouldn't even call them overpriced. More like worst "investment" ever.
Daves method has definate millionaire results (worked for us- 43yr old with only an associates degree and a husband in trade- started program in 2019) the other is speculation- prob will result in continued debt.
Good one!
Support your local restaurants, bookstores, movie theaters and record stores - Walmart doesn't need your business but your local family businesses does. I happily overpay a few dollars to keep them in business ❤😅
When we eat out we always get water, the price of soda drinks is insane.
Yes!
If you don’t eat out you can even save more lol
Another tip when eating with friends is to get an appetizer instead of a meal. With water and the free bread, you can enjoy time together at about half the cost of ordering an entree.
I volunteer for many events that I go to. It's a win-win because I get to see theater, concerts, etc. for free, and the venue has someone to help with the event. I've saved hundreds by just volunteering.
Dollar Tree for greeting cards. They offer cards from .50 cents to $1 and are really nice.
Add management fees and expense ratios for actively managed funds to the list.
Stopping at the coffee shop on the way to work, when work has free coffee. Lol
People who get coffee on the way to work everyday are nuts. You can have a gourmet coffee at home for pennies.
Id highly recommend buying them at the end, end of Christmas when they are reduced, end of Mothers/Fathers day and end of Valentines and buy them ready for next years, also do this with Christmas lights and decorations...😊
Goodwill is a great place to get baby clothes. They grow so fast, so a lot of the stuff is like new. It is kind of fun digging through it all.
I find that issue is more about the mum statement than the baby. It doesn't care what it's wearing or the last trends and they grow alarmingly fast.
Anything 2nd hand or free, someone always just had a baby. Give them a good wash and free clothes..
The crypto market has been unfavorable for months and I keep losing my money selling-off during dips, I'm very scared of holding right now, how do you guys still make so much….?
VENTURING into the trading world without the help of a profesionals, trading and expecting profit is like turning water into wine you would need a miracle...
It’s precisely at times like these that investors need to be on guard against the next certainty. You don’t have to act on every forecast. I will also suggest investors to get yourselves a financial-advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the shares/ETF you focus on.
Following you has been an amazing journey , you have shown me the best way to earn much better profits despite the bad economic situations, God bless you with more knowledge Alice devion...
Alice devion. understanding of market indicators is impressive. She knows exactly when to enter and exit trades for maximum profit. her siignals are top notch.?
Any info on how i can liaise with her, i'm new at this
You forgot to mention all the stupid helium.Balloons that people think they're relatives in heaven are going to see
Florida just banned balloon releases and has classified them as what they are: litter that is hazardous to wildlife. I hope the other 49 states follow suit
My hubs and I look at greeting cards together and show each other the ones we would buy, some that are just funny, and then we leave them there- all the sentiment without the trash or the cost! It’s a pretty fun date😅
My husbands coworker was just a part of his brothers wedding. He told my husband that the wedding was over 250,000.00 before the month long honeymoon. Thats crazy.
Yeah, and probably lasted 6 months.
@user-rm8rc1xi8g The wedding was just a few weeks ago. We give it less than that.
Ridesharing apps SAVE me money by allowing me and my husband to share 1 car. I mostly use public transit, but there are times when its not feasible. IF you are cutting down a car, ridesharing CAN be much cheaper than, gas, insurance, wear-and-tear, ect. of your car, depending on how often you use it. Sometimes biking, walking, or public transit are not good options. You can pry my ridesharing from my cold, dead hands. The ability to use rideshare apps have saved me SO much money.
I agree with George on this list, except for the movie theater concessions. We go to the movie theater maybe once or twice per year. It is nice to see some movies on the big screen, so we want to help ensure the theater stays in business. They get very little money from the movie studio, relying on concessions to keep the lights on. Since we go so infrequently, we can treat it as a splurge and get the large popcorn and drink for $15.
How's this for cheap...er, I mean FRUGAL? My wife and I always give each other nice, high-dollar cards. We do this while at the greeting card rack in the store. I browse through the cards to find the perfect one, and hand it to her. She does the same for me. Then we put them back. Of course, we don't write in the cards or even put them in their envelopes. The sentiments have been shared and it didn't cost us $20 for two cards. Cards for other people are normally from a bulk greeting card pack or the $1 card section.
Please don’t touch things when you’re not buying.
The phone service was a big one for my family. We went from paying $200 a month to $800 for the year for 4 people. The service is great and problem free.
The nice restaurant advice works for me and my wife if we can duplicate what we would have at home. Going to a fancy steakhouse is pretty much a thing of the past. However, for us, we have discovered the hard way that a good sea bass or duck dish is best left to the pros.
George is doing a fantastic job; As always. Thanks for the great information sir.
I always ask neighbors for their baby’s old clothes if there a little older than my babies. Have saved so much doing that!
Good thing George put in that catch all CYA statement at the end about prioritizing where you spend your money, especially after that suggestion of going to the Olive Garden for a wedding or rehearsal dinner. 😅
I thought it was a brilliant suggestion! Most catered dinners I've had at weddings weren't as good as Olive Garden.
Nobody talks about it, but walmart pickup / walmart drop off is the greatest budgeting hack ever. Shop from your home from your meal plan, know exactly how much youre going to spend before spending it, and dont get caught giving into the end caps which try to make ya buy doritos on sale. You'll end up eating healthier and on a better budget. This is how my wife was able to become a stay at home mom while I was making 50k a year
Dollar Tree has a pretty good selection of cards.
OMW, George ALWAYS makes me literally lol!!! His body language, facial expressions, and quick wit is hysterical. Every video he makes, and every appearance on other Ramsey videos-he's absolutely hilarious! Great insight, but he has the most entertaining content EVER!
I’m the opposite. I listen to the common sense nature of his (Dave’s) ideas, and (barely) tolerate his “funny” quips.
@@BK-gh9us eh, to each their own. :)
So agree.
I'm in this unfortunate condition of needing a new car, that's why i am always here to watch your videos..
$4-10 on greeting cards? Bro they're still 50 cents at Dollar Tree lol
Don't you have generic cards stores in America that just sell cards gifts wrapping paper, balloons 😊
My last car purchase was in 2019. Toyota Camry LE for 20000 even. Paid cash.
my husband and i got married in 2020, didn't want to spend a lot of money on it so for our rings we went to Reese found them on sale (did buy them with a CC however we paid that off in less then a year). i got my dress from ROSS store spent money on the marrage license, and a few things from hobby lobby only bad thing is we got it from the wedding section we could of gotten the sand cheaper in another section of the store. in total the wedding was 150.00 paid in cash hubs family paid for the food
I love watching George's videos. He is entertaining and has good points in his various videos but if there is one thing that I will not take any advice from him about is cars. He purchased a used (4 owners) 165,000 miles Tesla with 2 minor accidents... You can't tell me that it is wrong that my husband and I purchased our Tesla new (our only car).. We don't care about depreciation (it is worth about 49% now 4 years later), etc.
In the UK you’re allowed to take your own food and drink into the cinema 😊
We still try to hide it in bags however
@@kelle_li but we don’t have to lol
@@kelle_li
Pretend your pregnant and hide the food in your bump or if you have small boobs hide them in your bra.q😊
My daughters son-in-law took me to the movies and with tickets hotdogs drinks, popcorn, etc. we spent or I should say they spent about 95 bucks and I was amazed. And then my son-in-law said it’s concession sales that keeps the theaters running so if we don’t buy their food, they’ll end up closing down. And this is a little teeny town, Tennessee and the only theater around 4 miles so he was doing his part. I know I have a better understanding of popcorn prices.😂
My husband’s birthday, son’s birthday, Father’s Day and graduations all fall together. So it highlights how much it costs when you buy it all at once. I think we’re going to start making at least some of them.
I love this. I've been interested in real estate investing and as such have spent a lot of time talking to real estate investors who have very carefully picked out parameters for determining whether a property is worth the investment. It somewhat reminds me of eccentric collectors that are looking for very specific markers of quality. I think shopping similarly for things we spend money on is an excellent skill. I'm also very lucky that I married a woman who naturally does this. She won't pay full price for anything, and it helps us focus on spending money specifically on things that are meaningful to spend money on rather than just buying things with little or no thought that we may or may not actually use or enjoy.
Just no on the nails --- literally tried that for 7 months and I was a late start to getting my nails done at 42. But I will never go back to doing my own nails -- getting a gel or lcn is worth my time having to NOT worry about my nails and the upkeep - if its $65 every month so be it. I'm frugal in other areas so It isn't a hit at all to our wallet. And I always but dollar tree cards.
Yup gotta pick and choose your splurges
If you don’t get theater concessions, they go out of business and the silver scream in your city is gone.
George is so good at video ideas around the sponsor. We get a great quality video whether we avail or not
Head’s up - trade schools are FOR-profit- but find an American Job Center and get a training voucher and WIOA (federally funded workforce programming) will pay for training by accredited training providers. Free money - you do the work and get the certifucation.
What is a training voucher? Do you have to be in a certain age bracket?
Missed opportunity to plug Smart Money Happy Hour - c’mon George!!
Love the idea for small weddings as a new event venue owner. 9:02
Overpriced item: specialty coffee drinks.
Frugal alternative: stovetop espresso maker/moka pot and manual milk frothed/French press.
You can hack your way to near cafe quality lattes, mochas, etc. with less than $50 of equipment (you could probably get it for $20-$30 if you cruise fb marketplace).
I’m in the unfortunate position of needing a new vehicle and it’s crazy how many people tell me to get a new car so it’s reliable or right now new is a better deal. Even if it is a better deal, if I can’t afford to pay cash it isn’t a good deal! For now my 02 randomly doesn’t start but on the days it works I’ll find something I can pay cash for. Ideally before the new school year so my boss doesn’t get upset if I’m late again cause I had to take the city bus last min 😂
TSA can stop you for having too many snacks . My buddy has dietary restrictions so he travels with a bunch of special bars and he has been flagged at security for too many food items .
What did they do when they "flagged" him? Inspect him more closely? I can live with that. Confiscate some? I can also take that risk (it has happened, ONCE, in many years of flying). But, generally, we pack abundant food for international and domestic trips, and if we avoid pastes and liquids, we have very few problems. If you bring a water bottle, dump it before security, and refill it after. Easy-peasy. If you have a medical condition (like the friend you mentioned), you can research how to bring proof from your doc for the accommodations you need.
@@annai157 sometimes they let him through after inspection other times they make him through away all but 5 food items
so true with the airport food, but man, I only travel once every 3 months. I want that double whopper as breakfast at 5 AM while I wait for my cheap Ryanair flight haha. 11£ well spent IMO
Food with a really high mark-up compared to preparing it yourself: pre-made pancakes, bottled iced tea, precut fruit, veggie trays, pre-shredded or sliced cheese, brownies from the bakery, already hard boiled eggs. None of those things take very much skill to prepare yourself and the price can be more than double.
If you are so easily thrown off by high mark ups, ask your optician, how much one of these lenses costs, that goes into your glasses and how much they are charging you for it. But sit down... You really want to sit, when you hear that number.
Along with greeting card, gift bags are an absolute waste of money.
Got myself a 2019 CX5 for 23k loaded with features including adaptive cruise control with only 41k miles. A new one, with just Bose sound was already 43k.
The thing about #10 is if people are drinking and they get drunk then they aren’t gonna make good decisions. I’ve heard friends say they woke up with a hangover and saw their online bank statement and about had a heart attack.
Is this a good time to talk about destination weddings? In my opinion, they are, or can be, an unnecessary burden on the invitees, some of whom may be your family members who are on a budget. To me, if a certain destination is that important to you, have your honeymoon there! Going to a wedding already creates an expense for your guests ( clothes, gift, etc) Don’t make it worse. My spouse and I recently attended a local wedding of someone who wasn’t even that close of a friend and it cost us $300 when all was said and done!
Golf courses. I spend 6.50 for a can of energy drink when I could get it from the local grocery store for 2.00-2.50.
Your caffeine addiction is draining your bank account.
80% or more of Garage sales I've been to have at least some, if not a boatload of baby/young kids clothes.
Hmmmmmmm....frugal people do not go to live sporting events or live concerts either. $20 dollars for a beer and a hot dog at a football game. A $35 dollar concert t-shirt that the promoter paid .75 cents for. Yes .75 cents imported, I was in the business.
Thanks..same for signing up for marathon runs..t shirt and medal ha
Brand new phones, or almost any electronics. They are generally much cheaper used, and sometimes still have manufacturers warranties
My wedding cost $150 back in 2021 lol
“She’s been living in onesies since we got her”. He made it sound like he purchased his daughter from American Girl Doll 😂
YT has DIY hot long layers 5 minute haircuts that are mind-blowing easy! No costs on hair maintenance. DIY manicure and pedicure, it takes a little time and effort, beautiful and practical! No way to those vampires long nails that some girls spend a fortune of money they don't have. I dont feel sorry for broke girls with tons of cc debts.
If I could drive myself I would not need the ride sharing app
Tiger's blood was always my favorite flavor. I haven't bought one in years, though.
My side hustles are:
1) working as an academic assistant at a university
2) helping kids get into university
$688 a year for kids clothes?!?! Are they buying them from kohls lol? That's ridiculous
Hey just a tip, why don't you guys talk about how to handle funeral expenses? I bet a lot of people would like to know more about that
Hi George
I’m SO frugal. Example: I spent about 10 minutes downloading an app ordering through the app at a subway to save $2 on my sub. However I WILL pay $89-$100 for a mani pedi (tip included) went two weeks. It’s “me time” and I do corporate consulting so it helps me look and feel put together.
Made the mistake of purchasing a new car a while ago and I definitely will not do that again. Would you please make a video as to how we should go about purchasing a used car? A lot of info online, and I would love to have a more frugal point of view. I have a wife and my family is growing, so we are really looking to into the SUV/minivan field. Want to make sure we do our homework to find the best deal.
To be fair to the movie theatre... if they don't mark it up then they will have to lay off tons of workers Usher's concessionist managers in most theaters shut down because of the fact that concessions do not get bought.
😂 😅nice word choice
I like going to Dollar Tree. You can get cards for $0.50 - $1.00
Wedding should have been item #1.
We saved for three years and paid for a reliable three year old used car for $18500. We knew it was super reliable because we were the only ones who have been driving it for those three years. Driving it for for the last four years since, happy owners. 😂
Me nodding along agreeing until he hits movie theater concessions. You’ll never take my movie theater popcorn!!🍿
Buying bottled water, drink faucet water at work. It’s free
Where is the coffee Gorge
15 things ? - Very Alux of you, G.
I'm only watching this video because you redeemed yourself for telling that old lady to get a job
I love me some MMMBop, I’d skip a couple meals for that card 😜
💅 Mani-Pedis are lovely and fun, but holey guacamole 🥑 are they expensive!!! My daughter and I go about twice a year for special occasions and went last week to celebrate me finishing my masters degree (debt-free!)
I was shocked that for her to get her finger and toenails painted (not a manicure or pedicure, just polish) and my pedicure was $130 😮
Ride share apps is a weird one to be on this list. I don’t know anyone who Ubers because it’s fun or just for the convenience. People Uber because they know they’ll be drinking, or because they need to go to the airport, or to get to work if they don’t have a car. Who takes an Uber when they’re sober and have a perfectly good car sitting in the driveway?
Hi @George, I have a question regarding the term insurance - doesnt it expire after the 10 or 20 yr term? Like what's the benefit especially if after the 10 or 20 yr term, alls good with you and your family, you lose the money - what's the benefit there? Would like to understand more like maybe there's something I'm missing?
Hawaiian shave ice is worth every dollar lol better than ice cream
Time sharing is one that traps lots of people.
I feel like we did the bare minimum for our wedding and it still cost 10k plus. Everything just getting out of hand.
All the prices he mentioned... they're double in California.
I get pedicures and my nails done every month and I budget for it, I make my own greeting cards and I pay$60 a month for my cellphone and good with that. I don’t go out to eat and I’m not a drinker, I also budget for that.
ive never owned a storage locker or anything of that sort in my life lol. if I did need one that means I have to much junk.
George, are you team IOS or Android?
glad you hit greeting cards ... I hate greeting cards. they are such scams. but when I have to get one, I hit my local dollar store and can get 4 for a $1.00
Have not sent Christmas cards for years.
Have clothes that have holes in them

We have charitable organizations that send us greeting cards as an incentive to donate to them.
*Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires*

Hello , I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Andrew Louis Stella, has been an amazing experience.
Hello how do you make such monthly?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down 🤦♀️of myself because of low finance but I still
believe in God
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Louis Stella 😊🎉
I don’t know anyone who buys baby clothes. We all just share and exchange.
Mint mobile is cheaper. Costs $200 a year. That's about $15 a month.
That’s what I use
I got a great deal from Mint: a new Pixel Pro phone and a year of service for under $500.
Just got to 9:44 Why does it have to be cash what’s wrong with my debit card or did you mean just not credit

!!!I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks will be appreciated
You need an expert. I'm guided by Adviser Bruce Murdock a widely known consuitant.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Bruce Murdock, for his expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
My colleagues had a good laugh at me when I told them I started my journey with $50k capital and how I accumulated over 6 figures within a span of 7 months. They never believed me until I pulled out my P&L.
I know that learning the ins and outs of the market isn't for everyone, that's why personally, Bruce Murdock oversees my investments.
Without a doubt! Bruce Murdock is a trader who goes above and beyond. he has an exceptional skill for analyzing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. His strategies are meticulously crafted based on thorough research and years of practical experience.
nice! once you hit a big milestone, the next comes easier. How can i reach him, if you don't mind me asking?
