Note: The 34' Overton Coaches from Roundhouse products make a great passenger set for this particular locomotive or the Bachmann American 4-4-0 steam locomotive.
I have a Boston and Maine one that I stumbled upon by accident and I absolutely love it. If I get a running start on it, the mogul will haul an old time Bachmann silver series combine, that B&M Overton and a silver series coach up the 4%. Thank you
Love your trains. We had a huge hobby shop here in Lynchburg but it burnt down some years ago. Sad, I loved going in there to feed my youth? Kids today around this area are not much into hobbies. Very sad! ☹️I have to gyro thingy planes but can’t fly them because I can’t look up, my neck is pinned! So there they sit, maybe if I lay flat on the ground? Lolol nice video Tommy!
that is a nice trains set. Primarily to give as a gift to someone who hasn't got a layout. Now the engine can't pull that short train. Maybe the solution is just to clean the rails ? you got some debris on you fine layout. so try to use a vacuum cleaner and a rail cleaning rubber. The question about replacing the wheels for metal ones, I have both metal and plastic ones. Must say that i buy cars with metal wheels if possible, but the ones with plastic wheels do really work rather well. I only replace them , wheels are expensive, if they don't work. But don't paint the plastic wheels as the often make the tracks dirty. thanks for the video !
There’s one coming out tomorrow. I did the diesel n DCC sound and there’s a new n DCC sound steam in n coming out later next month. Bachmann n whistle stop
I had a couple 0-6-0 switchers around then and they pretty much grenaded themselves in short order. I know the early F7As would throw a driveshaft and disintegrate the universals. I have about a half dozen newer ones that are so far, so good. Thank You for watching
Doesn't appear to me a power issue making that 4% grade. The wheels are obviously spinning. Put .5 ounce led sinker or a magnet in that engine. also do you have enough track there that you need may need a booster.
Yes, there’s a booster. I have some stick on weights that I load rail cars with to increase tracking. Where should I stick the weights on the locomotive for best traction? Thank you for watching
@@LedgemereHeritageFarm I know that that Lionel sells traction tires. I suppose they are just flat wound rubber bands that go on the wheels. Not sure if they interchange with other brands. As far as weight, yea, same thin g, magnets, flat weights, a bit of velcro, . what ever you can fit.
Two questions why did you go this route when you could’ve got some great Bachman rollingstock on Amazon and nice diesel locomotive on there too just bought separately second question did you buy this two or three years ago? Oh my Nscale Rolling stock came with steel wheels and all stock couplers line right up
I have the same set but the controller after a while it will or may shit out on u bc the one that I have did and have to get a new one soon for my layout lol just a heads up
You can get 33” or 36” scale metal wheels on Amazon. I’ve tried three different companies with similarly results . Intermountain ? Bachmann & Kadee. Thank you for watching
This train running sounds so real the chugging the whistle and all all most makes one think to drain the air lines so it will not freeze in Maine 🇺🇸
I like Bachmann Trains! nice video
Thank you. My experiences have been mostly positive
Used this set to get back into the hobby, not a bad set and definitely worth the price. Locomotive alone is worth the price of the set
I think so too. I looked up the price of their standalone mogul with dcc sound and you can get the whole set for not much more. Thank you for watching

Thank you for watching. I will for sure run the track cleaner over it again as I just started ballasting and did make a bit of a mess.
Now do N scale version. I am on the fence about which starter set to get. I need small size. So leaning toward N. No basement here.

I had no luck with bachmann dcc trains in 2000. I hope they got better over the years. I do own bachmann trains but no dcc

thank you. I don't think they are great quality sets
What size are the metal wheel sets for Bachman HO
