    I don't think it's just the wood chips that make your garden so great and easy to care for... I think it's God's blessing because of the love you have for Him and your generous attitude

    I'm not a Christian, but I have allot of respect for Paul's philosophy and application. I've always believed that nature is God's most truthful witness. Look after the earth and the earth will look after you, that's what it means to be a steward.

      Following the Farm tour has been fun.10 months on the road with 4 childers had to be challenging. They're taking a few months off till spring thaw but I do expect updates like home arrival,Christmas New Year etc.

    If you have to buy seeds to get started, choose not to care what rate of success you get, as long as you get at least one good plant to grow. Seeds from that plant will get you a great yield the following year, for sure!

    • @L2Survive
      @L2Survive  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And those seeds will be better adapted for your climate and soil.

    Thanks for posting these video. Has Paul ever mentioned what his electric bill is? I wonder with that walk in cooler etc? Update Edit: I found another video Where Paul Says that the walk in cooler cost $12 to $14 per month

    Where do I post questions for him to answer? Should I lay down woodchips for corn, wheat, peanuts?

    • @suffolkshepherd
      @suffolkshepherd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is a two year old comment so you probably have concluded but we use wood chips on corn, lettuce etc and works great . I have not grown wheat or peanuts but would use wood chips if I did.

      Paul doesn't put anything on his apples or anything else. Watch more videos, he talks about it all the time. th-cam.com/video/C_l3--4hF4w/w-d-xo.html

    A walkin cooler is fairly expensive both purchase and operationally. Is a root cellar withe an air regulator any cheaper? What happens if the power goes out in the summer? Do things stay okay long enough if the power is out for say a day? Right now its looking like i need to drop 7gs on a cooler, 2 gs/year running it, and it all turns to a pumpkin if i dont have a few gs for a generator. All to have some fresh apples.
    I love me some good kiku and honeycrisp but dont think I can swing all that, especially not in a normal 1/4 acre lot back yard. If a root cellar works better id love to have one but have no idea how to find people that install them, and not too sure its any cheaper.
    Any ideas on what I can do?

      JoeBob Jenkins think second hand. Also Mother Earth news has some good tutorials about root cellars.
