These ladies are always a joy to listen to. Thanks for posting my favorite Trad Jazz band. Chloe, Marla, and Haruka are a force. Always Love Molly's playing and the solid groove she and Julie provide.
What a wonderful band! I had the pleasure of playing with Marla at the Albury Jazz Convention in 2019.. And what a terrific clarinet player! So clean and lovely!
HAVE A GREAT SESSION THIS SATURDAY NIGHT! ALL THE BEST FROM BOB WAY UP NORTH IN VANCOUVER BC. A FAN OF BANU GIBSON'S NOLA CAMP IN JUNE, AND GERALD FRENCH MY FINE DRUM IDOL.!
Shake Em Up is my absolutely FAVORITE Nawlins' band!!! Listened to all 3 of the LPs repeatedly throughout the weekend. The talent and musicality each member brings to this ensemble is sheer PERFECTION. (Oh, where's Dizzy for this session?)
Bass is vey well recorded, and she is better than I thought. Molly is a formidable rythm guitar, and Chloe is outstanding, I agree that the trumpet player is no Shaye Cohn, but I find her OK. Loved the Boswell sisters tribute. Nice work ladies !
Chloe, Molly and Marla singing close harmony are a real treat. The whole band is pure musical quality and joy and swing.
These ladies are excellent musicians and vocalists in their own right. As a combo they are non pareil. This is one of their smoothesrt pieces.
How can anyone give a thumbs down? These women are great, each of them.
Wonderful band and wonderful music! It's enjoyable to listen.
Been surfing the Jazz Vipers wave whole evening, but got to these ladies through Molly Reeves. What a find! I am in love

That was fantastic singing harmony. They should do a lot of that.
If you need it, the first tune is 'Dusty Rag', which was of course composed by a LADY - the great May Aufderheide.
Thanks Ivan
Fantastic band and really extrordinary women .

What a great. Love these ladies. So much fun to see live also in no lo. Hope they keep publishing albums. Props to the sound engineer on this video
What can I say beyond WOW! great musicians playing so well and wonderful singing. Dusty Rag compsed by May Aufderheide
Even without Dizzy on washboard this is terrific music ... another case of Shaye Cohn's great musical insights (listen between songs)
Oh, it's a thing alright - and a GREAT one! ❤

Bei der, eeem Sound is, flennen und kichern garantiert, ( Tränen end Lachen , ....)...…....
Haruka brilliant as usual -- my only complaint was that seemed a bit constrained
All I know is if y'all EVER play Jazz Fest, I want to be there.

@@OffBeatMagazine Thanks and it was GREAT.
Wish they'd mark these productions or at least provide a track listing with times.
Where´s the washboard????!!!!!!!
Tell me about that clarinet! What kind? Where is it from? and the reed too! Smoothest sounding clarinet I ever heard.
no Desny on washboard?
Dem gals can make some fine music.
Where's Queen Defne?
Brass is weak - especially trumpet. Clarinet is outstanding. Not a well balanced presentation.
There is always one isn't isn't there?
@@addlestone2851 ya, that 'one' showed up
