This is the most helpful video I have found on this matter. Because of covid19 we haven't been able to hire a nurse to care for my grandma and me and my mom have been caring for multiple pressure ulcers instructed by a family doctor. Thank you for providing this information.
How is your grandma now? I hope she's getting better. We're in similar situation, me and my mom also have been caring for grandma, and starting several days ago grandma's buttock area was starting to develop wounds. For now we treat her with petroleum jelly and regularly change her position in bed.
I’m a carer at a nursing home. Whenever we see any case of potential pressure sores, we yes change the position of the person but most preferably avoiding all pressure to the area affected. I can’t treat a person I’m not a nurse neither a doctor but sudo cream is amazing and effective. Also keeping that area clean and washed and using dressing appropriate for pressure sores. Perhaps read this web page www.wounds-uk.com/download/resource/1078 Also try to avoid them sitting on that area or rubbing it, but back to sudo cream it’s been used and I’ve used it on my brother when he had a pressure sore on his ankle area and it was very effective it speeding up healing and soothing it.
Wow I was looking for something to show my student on how to stage pressure injuries in a way that wasn't too complicated or too basic. and this was perfect. Thank you!! ❤️ a new tool for my toolbox :)
Glad I watched this nursing home and hospital said stage 1 but my grandmother had stage 3 for sure and I cleared it up at home in 6 days. Now at stage one, no pain. I am so sick of patient care in hospitals and homes it's disgusting

Short n sweet. I get it. One thing you said put the icing on the cake... the skin is more resistant to hypoxia than the other tissues
Its a good video but the audio keeps going out and it misses some vital information
Could a rash or diseases be just a bed sore from neglect god bless America and our great medical staff ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏☮☮☮☮✌♥️♥️🇺🇲💪

What word {or words} keep getting edited out? It happens throughout the video. What dermatological term would throw things off?
