This isn't really being used effectively to treat anxiety but it seems to be useful for phobias, I guess.

Phobias give you anxiety. This gives exposure to the phobia.

It's been effectively used to treat social anxiety and phobias, but not GAD

It's a bad title. It's so uplifting, though. The idea of gaming being used to really help people, other than just take the edge off after a hard day, is really fascinating. Unfortunately, misophonia is almost impossible to treat with exposure therapy and may even make it worse, but that appears to be the go-to strategy for it.

Because that's not a response to a trigger, or at least the trigger isn't currently known.

My hands are sweating already. All of my phobias are extreme so I really doubt exposion therapy would help.

I have qualified as a hypnotherapist recently and I think this therapy and hypnosis totter could pertintcially help people in a lot of ways. Id really like to experiment with a course of hypnotherapy and this method. Its hard sometimes for people to envisioned a place or a stair way for example when given hypnosis and I feel this could help people with expanding there senses and opening up the unconscious. Making those important changes in a persons life . Hannah Maloney

What happens when someone falls from that high up in VR? Would the sensation of falling in VR cause a person to fall to the floor for real? Heart attack?

Psychology and therapy all in all is a very complicated and intellectual way of telling the person they are stupid and irrational and if they don't get better, it is their failing, the therapist or psychiatrist never gives a refund or admits to failing.

Andam por aí muitas pessoas a pedir socorro e esmola.
Dizem que, através da pena e da bondade dos outros, conseguem tornar-se deusas/rainhas.
    Dá para acreditar nisto?! 🤨

She know she is still standing on ground tho. She need to be on some high place where there is a danger too in reality and this look boring even for me who have fear of high. They need improve or else when they really get on real high ground they will feel the fear of danger.

I'm a bit socially anxious and being continually exposed actually helps diminish the effects.
It's still there but with each experience I become more resilient
