Love this project!! Happy to see a lantern not made of a bunch of picture frames. And serious respect for acknowledging Jay as your inspiration and linking her video. That's what it's about!! ❤❤❤

Wow you really can’t tell the columns are made with the tumbling tower blocks...hot glues over the cracks and sanding them down is really the trick! Thank you for sharing!
You are absolutely correct, that they don’t look like they were made out of Dollar Tree items! These looks pretty darn awesome! This will be a DIY that will be in my back pocket. Thanks for sharing😊
Hands down best lantern diy that I have seen. I think the extra time that you took to sand down the tower blocks made all the difference. I could not tell that that is what they are make of. Excellent job I just love it.
@@jamierossi2573 I just reread your comment & it says SHE studio!? Like a sheShed? If so that sounds amazing. I'm trying to move all my craft supplies to an upstairs spare room and I'm STRUGGLING to organize & decorate
You can use a Dollar Tree metal trash can or the shiny part from an air conditioner filter instead of chicken wire too. I've seen videos of diff people using either one. Thank you so much for sharing with us! I LOVE getting notifications for your videos. Have a safe and blessed weekend !
These are absolutely awesome, seemingly easy to make and the prettiest homemade lanterns that I've seen! No one will believe they're made from $Tree's shadow boxes, blocks and skewers. Congrats for all the love you've received for this video - well deserved!
Thanks girl! I know they are little time-consuming but really not much more if you were to cut your own would have to make exact cuts. I also think for about $3 it's a pretty good deal. Glad that you and others are excited about this DIY like me. Much love to you friend 💕💕💕 -Megan
Just now watching this... I love the look of these lanterns over most of the diys I've seen. The only things I'd do differently is putting the skewer on the inside and using grey instead of brown.
🤯 Wow Megan! Hands down, this is my favorite lantern tutorial EVER! Absolutely stunning! Bravo girl! I think the bamboo skewers are a great choice over the chicken wire. What a sincere shout out to Jay for being your inspiration. RESPECT! I can't wait for your next video! TYFS!!! 💘💘💘
This is awesome. My husband is a carpenter so lucky for me he brings home lots of scrap wood. So I can make some free. But I love this so I can have as inspiration. 😊😊
Very cute. I love lanterns and candles everywhere. Candles in all of my windows and lanterns on my deck, patio and in my tall wrought iron lantern post. These will be a great addition. 😊
@@GlueGunsRoses welllllll. I seem to love everything according to my craft room. Lol. I adore lanterns houses of any sort. Wow wow wow!! Looks like you bought these at a high end store. Absolutely amazing. My daughter’s wedding is in June 2021 and we decided these would be the centerpieces. We’re so excited we may start buying stuff and giving it a go. I’ll take pics for you, if I remember. TFS your creativity.
I have made this lantern, only painted it black, love it! the best dollar tree lantern I've seen! Going to make 2 more for my coastal porch decor! thank you for your talent and sharing. Love your channel.
Awesome and budget friendly project! I might consider the DT mesh wastebasket instead of the chicken wire and stretch it both ways to allow for bigger spaces between the mesh
Love the idea! If you can find the chicken wire at Walmart it really is a good deal. You get a few feet and it cost less than $4 and it's thinner than the wire Baskets at Dollar Tree and easier to cut. The Dollar Tree baskets are great alternative though 😍 will you let me know how it turns out? Much love to you Angela 💕💕💕 -Megan
Thank you Judy! I'm the same with most DT or any DIY lantern. Either too much money for an inexpensive look or I don't have the tools and skill set to recreate them. Glad you enjoyed this one 💕💕💕 -Megan
Hi friend, tyfs! I live how you roll. Simple yet nice! Love the lanterns. I love the last diys I watched with the pottery barn inspired tray. They almost look like a shallow baking tray on their website. U could also use a tray that you aren't using for baking and glue the handles on. Love the metal mix. Love the diys!
