thank you! didnt know AU3 is working for logic (not full support as i can tell it only can run up to 127 channel per instance, but still better than 16 channel per instance in AU2 haha:) thanks for sharing
Thank you for very helpful video. Can I ask one Question? In my Logic Pro, there are only 8 midi ports. How can I change this to 16 or 48? Thank you. Regards
Of course you can go up to 48 ports. First of all in Vienna Ensemble Pro go into the preferences and set the MIDI ports up to 48. Then in Logic Pro open the Vienna Ensembel Pro AU3 plugin and on the right top corner, click on the wheel and there set the 48 MIDI ports again. Close and reopen the plugin, now you have 48 MIDI ports www.vsl.info/en/manuals/vep7/vep-plugin
@@virtualorchestration Thank you. Thank you very much! I've tryied to find how to do this for this week. Now I think I need to look for one more thing, multi timbral independent volume control and automation! I'll find it! Thank you and have a good day!
Hell My Friend How does the routing work? Can you perhaps make a short video about it? I have 1 instance with let's say 8 ports. I don't need more per instance But how is this properly routed in logic in the mixer so that when I use the various instruments that I have loaded in Vienna, I can also send them individually in logic in the mixer tracks when playing as channels so that I can also send a bus on each individual track or can load a plugin or an EQ whatever At the moment everything is coming out of one track for me and that's really stupid Is there a solution for this and how do you do it? Thank you very much for your answer
AU3 is phenomenal! Actually it WAS. On my old MacPro 2010 everything worked just fine. But then I’ve switched from Intel to M1 . AU3 doesn’t work anymore with logic on M1 Silicon Mac (Logic will stuck searching plugin at start)! Be aware!!

with this technique i guess in logic mixer can't we create the individual tracks so that we adjust each volume and dynamic expression
Yes, to have audio channel strips you have to create them by associating the audio outputs of Vienna Ensemble Pro with each channel strip in Logic
How do you get Logic to show MIDI ports in track options in later versions?

What type of computer was used for this demo?
Mac Pro 2019 - 3,2 GHz Intel Xeon W 16 core - RAM 96 GB 2933 MHz DDR4 - AMD Radeon Pro 580X 8 GB, I imported the MIDI from a programming I did with Cubase Pro several years ago on a Mac Pro 2013 - 8 Core 3,0 Ghz Xeon E5 - RAM 64 GB 1866Mhz (VSL libraries)
Thank you! How many ports can we use per instance?
4 to 8 ports, but in Logic sometimes the note off is not sent correctly (I use only 1 instance)
