    Everything looks so interesting and good! I live in sweden and we do not have many of the things you show. I would love to try spagettios, starbucks hot cocoa, banana creme pie, pimpkin pie.... and all the other things!!

      Malin Svedrin you have never had pumpkin pie or Starbucks?! Those are my two favorite things!!

    • @malinsvedrin3993
      @malinsvedrin3993 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      RachelMLinn we had starbucks in my city for a while, but i think we didnt like it bcz they closed. But in groceryshops we do have those 200ml of Seattle lattes in the cooler. But i would like to try the dry coffe stuff so you can make them at home. We have our own ”starbucks” in sweden called ”espresso house” and they have very nice things to drink. And no, no pumpkin pie:p
      You know, we do not even have all the flavours of ben & jerrys here. Sometimes i Google it just so i can dream away:p

    They have dill pickle relish and if you dont like the strawberry pie filling on top use the extra strawberries and add sugar to them it'll be perfect on top of the cheesecake

    I’m not sure if this will help or be weird, but have you tried using an air fryer for Lex’s food? So that way the food is more dry and crunchy and still generally healthy. Hope you all have a good holiday! 🎄

I have been eating good this month lol! My sister came home and he cooked for her. Thanks for sharing! Hope you have a good Christmas!

    Its no weird seeing how other people have their own xmas traditions and menu. Here in nz we have xmas in summer, so we have generally, hot ham, hot chicken or turkey or both 😂 with salads such as pasta, garden, waldof, egg. With new potatoes, carrots and peas. Then for dessert it varies but almost always have pavlova, brandy snaps, fruit salad, jelly, trifle, xmas cake. And then we eat xmas lunch for the next week 😂😂

    I’m sure it will be chaos in your home while trying to make all this stuff Steph, but don’t stress you will be fine. If I was you I would get those eggs boiled on the weekend, they will keep in the fridge till you need to use them...that’s one thing out of the way. I’m sure the green bean casserole can be made at least one day ahead and kept in fridge then baked with bread crumbs on top on Christmas Day.....could also do that with Mac n cheese. Have fun and enjoy all the chaos of the day with your lovely family....you got this. 👍😘🎄🎅

    I'm not sure what your schedule is going to look like as far as the cooking goes, but I would definitely consider doing the desserts the day before. Maybe even the green bean casserole and the mac and cheese. All of those things can be refrigerated overnight until you need to throw them in the oven! Good luck and Merry Christmas to all of you!! 😊

    For a family whose not much for cooking, that's a pretty extensive menu.
    But it's nice to see you're trying to cook.
    We do xmas here & go to others, so it's like having to cook twice.
    So made cookies today, make chex mix today, made 2 other batches of cookies on mon.
    Sunday I need to prep dressing for wed (make bread crumbs, its messy & the food processor is a nuisance to wash) and make mocha truffles. Monday is a day out hopefully, tues I need to wash & dice potatoes, wash peel & chop carrots, peel chop & season onions, our roast needs to be prepped, cut up & season brussel sprouts, get Yorkshire pudding prepped, get gravy ready and then juggle things in the oven.
    Wed I need to cook the dressing & pack the cookies up for the event we're going to.
    My shopping list is currently mayo, parmesan cheese, lettuce, debating on buying more butter since it's on sale...3lbs in the freezer is lots, but $2.50/lbs is so tempting.
    And beyond wed, I have no idea what I'm eating. Perhaps the frozen lasagna which is hands off & no cleanup...
    Making stew tomorrow so I can eat on that all weekend...room for leftovers in the fridge may be an issue lol.
    My hands are crying at the amount of dishes to wash...might pull out the rubber gloves to spare them.
    On the bright side all the gifts are wrapped.

    I have a 5 month old daughter who we've been trying different formulas on and nobody believed that she was allergic to dairy-based formulas we finally found a formula works for her elecare her doctor wanted to try Enfamil AR formula on her and she broke out with a rash and a bunch of other stuff so she was finally diagnosed with a milk protein allergy so now we can't try milk until she's a year old

    TIPS FOR HOLIDAY COOKING! So these are coming from someone who suffers from chronic pain and has to do all the big holiday cooking.
    Do AS MUCH AS YOU CAN in the days before. This is both so you do not get overwhelmed but also so you can ENJOY Christmas. A lot of the things on your list can be done the day before and kept in fridge. Stuffing can be made the day before (cover with foil when you put it in to keep it moist, uncover at the end if you want it a little toasty.) Make your green bean casserole but leave off the onions until you put it in the oven, make your eggs and salads the night before if you have time. That is really by big suggestion. Even mashed potatoes can get made ahead (and frozen too.) I always aim to have everything put together as much as I can the night before so all i hate to do is let it sit out on the counter for 15-20 minutes (I use glass baking dishes so they need to warm a bit) before putting them in the oven. It keeps me from getting stressed but also lets me enjoy time with people.

    Hey! Merry Christmas!! Just wondering how Liam can have the frozen mac and cheese dinner trays if he is allergic to milk? Did you know that Speghettios have milk as well?. My son has a milk allergy and my brother has pretty severe EOE. He is on the 6 food elimination. But we have found that soy and milk are in most foods, including hot dogs and sometimes lunch meats. Even one time exposure to milk or soy with EOE can set you back for 8-12 weeks. (If those foods are the trigger of course)

    • @OurLANDingCrew8
      @OurLANDingCrew8  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I know about the spaghettios and we don’t feed him the Mac/cheese. As I said, we aren’t putting anymore dietary eliminations on Danielle until she gets back from her dads. We don’t know her triggers because we were told how to do the dairy diet incorrectly so we are basically at square 1 again but with worsened EOE

    • @Kelly-wj7sd
      @Kelly-wj7sd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That would be really frustrating! Maybe a referral to a nutritionist experienced with EOE diets? That is a lot on your plate to deal with! Looking forward to the updated video about it. :)

    • @OurLANDingCrew8
      @OurLANDingCrew8  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am looking to try to get her into an EoE clinic this summer because I don't have time for this ish. He basically wasted 3 months and a scope that she reacted badly to the anesthesia.

      How about the "double cheese cheez it" for Liam and the taquitos, pretty sure that's cheese too...

    • @OurLANDingCrew8
      @OurLANDingCrew8  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cheez its were for Lex. A lot of the "crunchy" foods were for Lex. I did get the taquitos for Liam too but I didn't realize they had dairy in them until it was too late. Having to go dairy free is new to me and I am doing the best I can but I am human and I am going to make mistakes!
