I remember renting this game a lot growing up. Defense was sometimes hard to play, but on offense, it was a high paced, run and gun, slam dunk fest. Preferable to the 2K games, where they require you to use a shot meter to shoot a basketball. Basketball games need to go back to the simple NBA Live format.
Somewhere along the way everyone got afraid of old fashioned arcade style nonsense. It really does need to make a comeback, realism sims are fine but I wanna pop half courts and dunk from the three point line.
@@sports_fix Yep. All the arcade style games were the best and hold up. I still play Tecmo Super Bowl to this day on the NES, NHL 94, Genesis Maddens, Mutant League, NHL Rock the Rink, the Jam and Hitz games etc.
I loved this game as a kid in high school. There were some stuff I didn't like, for example the difficulty level isn't very high, and rebounding is kind of difficult.
A lot of white players dunked. Brent Barry in the dunk contest. Makes no sense. I'm white and 6'3 and in high school I dunked. I only was able to dunk two times in my life . One in 1995 at 14 years old and another time at 17. I never forgot those two times lol. Tom Chambers was dunk too
Great memories with this game.
One of the greatest if not the absolute BEST games ever made NBA Live 96
💯💯
Aaah you created jordan☺️
He's already in the game you just have to edit his name on the generic version
Ah Nostalgie. Great memories ❤❤❤
The intro music still gives me chills!
Played this game a lot.
The intro and menu screen. Too many memories.

1995-96 season the Chicago Bulls went on a 72-10 record and won the NBA Championship vs SuperSonics
Chicago Illinois

Pistons defense defense
What do I do next… OOH, corner 3!
Loved Live 1996, in large part due to hidden players like Jordan 😁
Pre internet, just created Jordan and other players. Nice east egg
Am I the only one who noticed no white players could dunk in this game?
Matt geiger and Eric montross could dunk😂
