@@ninetiesmilk I want to listen to that album to honor her finest hour, musically speaking, but I don't want to listen to Courtney Love and Eric Erlandson. Even if there was no foul play, they treated her horribly, up to the very end.
Thank you for the upload. This is the first time I had actually heard her speaking voice. Her death always saddens me whenever I stumble upon something about it.
Gah!!! I wish i could call that number and talk with her. I love Kristen. Such an epic spirit with a good heart. Her and Kurt would have been such a great couple to see and behold. Both were taken out. It’s appalling how no one has been held accountable. Yet.
@@AvecPoesie yeah i wish i could hear her talk more. Would love to get to know her personality more. Talk about dream girl! I’ve heard through inside scoop that her brother is working on making a documentary about her. Or maybe he’s involved in one? Either way she audio recorded her diary! And they are going to use some of that! Super anxious for that! I hope they get into the crazy details and back story surrounding her death. The truth needs to be exposed.
@@Danathema lol please. You clearly haven’t learned much about this whole story. CL is even on record threatening Kristen for making eyes at Kurt. I think the definition of stupid would more accurately be displayed by someone who opens their mouth about something they clearly know nothing about and choose to stay that way; closed minded and assuming they know everything.. to fit what they want to believe.
I remember that year at the U. I was an undergrad and I would listen to the student radio station all the time and undoubtedly I heard Kristen. Interestingly, 1991 was the year that Nirvana's Nevermind came out and everything changed (goodbye big hair rock). There was a record store on SE 4th Ave across I-35 from the U of M campus that had some promotional posters and there was all this excitement about the album... after I heard it in that little record store I knew then that the grunge scene was going from Minneapolis to Seattle and that is precisely where Kristen went.
I did college radio deejaying stuff when I was in high school. My friend was in college and she would let me sit in on her shows and talk and push buttons and pick music out. College radio was pretty interesting growing up...my station was called ktech out of Klamath falls Oregon from OIT
oh man this makes me nostalgic and sad. I started listening to this station right around 1991, and would work there myself a few years later. I remember Oar Folk Joke Opus (The record store she refers to and maybe worked at? If so I'm sure I saw her there back in the day.) I wish she would have just stayed in Minneapolis and done her own thing instead of heading to Seattle to band up with that irritating poser woman with 1/80th of the personality, soul and talent Kristen herself had.
Some people think they were having an affair, but I think Courtney probably scared them both too much for them to do anything about any mutual attraction. Kurt even said as much on tape.
He had terrible role models in his mother (and her many boyfriends) and his father (who was a monumental asshole) to have a centered emotional existence. That's why he ended up with a psychotic bitch who very likely played a role in his death. By the same token, it was his tortured artist soul which gave birth to all the amazing music that he gave us. I find that talented musicians are strikingly often the product of broken families and abuse. Music is their attempt at soothing the pain in their hearts.
her voice was so soothing🥺
Absolutely. That's why I love to hear her harmonies in Live Through This, she was a really good singer 🖤

@Joe 'N Nirvana I often imagine how things could have been just a little different, with her becoming Frances's stepmom.
She sounded like an awesome person. I’m just on a 27 club kick today.
She was a monster bass player. Wish she was still around. RIP.

No problem!

Hearing Kristen say that number to reach her made me want to call it and somehow talk to her, too. She seemed to be so incredible

I think Courtney's fingerprints are all over both of their deaths.
Except they didn’t want each other but why let the truth get in the way of your stupid conspiracy theories hey?

Kristen was such an eloquent speaker, with a voice any man would want to wake up every morning hearing. Kristen, will you marry me?
Thanks for the upload, Kristen sure did have a sweet voice and I sure do miss her very, very, much, RIP Kristen,
Thank you so much for uploading this, theres not enough footage of Kristen. She was so talanted and beautiful

So is it fair to say that Minneapolis was as much the birthplace of Grunge as Seattle was?
i wish bands still offered that service where if you sent $25 they’d send you a new single every two months
We need more of this😢

It’s Courtney’s fault she’s not with us anymore
There are a TON of suspicious circumstances around her death and Courtney is connected to all of them.
It’s Kristen’s fault she’s not here anymore. She was a grown woman and a junkie who chose to fuck around with heroin.
Great, thanks for grabbing this off SoundCloud. Cool channel
I wish I could have heard the whole show, no pun intended. And I wish Kurt had been with her instead of Courtney.
She was so damn cool. She deserves to still be here. 😑
I love you Kristen pfaff
Beautiful and talented
Very lovely voice!

Could u do Sunday morning and spider webs by no doubt next or whenever u can 💕👍
Sunday Morning is up if you want to check it out! I still have to do Spider Webs :)
Lucky Kurt Cobain got to hear her voice over the phone especially in person.

Where on Earth did you get this?
Kristen's SoundCloud. I wrote the link to it in the description.
Do you know who is running the SoundCloud?
@@superblindeye1 Jason Pfaff, her brother.
