** This is another song that I got as a request. After I started looking at more KISS music after listening to Forever, I wound up listening to a bunch of the 80's albums and I really liked this song. It's catchy and the hammer-ons in the chorus give it some intrigue. I covered this song a while back before I made my own tabs and before I used any tabs in the video itsself. I did this cringey thing where I would raise the neck every time there was a hammer on. I thought it would add to the video, but watching it now, it looks kind of stupid haha. It's okay though, I had fun doing it.
Tabbing this wasn't too hard since I had already played it before. There were just a couple spots where it's not tied together that I initially thought it was. Other than that it was pretty straight forward

The slightly lower E standard is quite rare haha, I think the hz are 435 instead of 440 hz (which is the modern one)
Yeah, it’s around there. I Was Made for Lovin You was also a bit lower than 440. Highway to Hell and Another one bites the dust were both also slightly off from what would be expected

Hi Sam what that mean with there is a small 1 with a normal 3 beside it is that a hammer on?
It’s called a grace note. It’s typically played as a hammer-on but you start with the small note and quickly go to the second note. It’s notated like that because it’s easier to read than using something like a 16th note

I’ve seen another tutorial with totally different notes. How do you know which one is correct ?
Take a listen for yourself and see what you think sounds right. You can also check the tuning as well. This album wasn’t quite in the standard tuning, so one might be in E, and one might be in Eb. You can also check to see what other people have done for this song, like on a tab site, or in bass covers, or by looking up videos of it being played live.
On my newer videos, I’ll link some of those live sources to show why I tabbed stuff the way I did. At this point in the channel I did it on most songs, but not all

Don't say it's E standard when it's somewhere in between E and Eb. That's confusing. I can imagine all beginner people playing along thinking their bass sound sucks or something when it's just not tuned correctly

@@SamboatMusicBassCovers No you didnt. You just said slightly lower. You needed to adjust anyway so back then you knew if its was 338 or 335.. And saying its E standard in the video itself without pointing to the discription or just saying the exact tuning in the video is misleading.
I just remember 12yo me trying to play along to some Kiss songs and never had it working. And now, 14 years later i know (and hear) why and it wasnt even my fault. It was people not explaining in tabs and videos.
