Just a idea for the beads one: you could grab a canvas and put tape around it (in a way that kinda creates a lip over the canvas so it you have little walls!) drop the beads and just move the canvas side to side until it’s all covered! (Also use a bit less paint to avoid the extra paint problem) and ta-da! You got beautiful beads and possibly a beautiful painted canvas!

Hey everyone! So quick tip since I've been making clay cupcakes for a while now instead of just adding clay into the piping bag for the frosting add some water into the clay to make it more of a frosting consistency. Glue works too! Doing this makes it easier to pipe out and just looks better in general.

You can also put the beads in a shallow box, lid or something with sides and roll them all around at the same time by tilting the canvas board around! Might be less controlled but still lots of fun! and its a good option for people with sensory needs and don't want to touch the paint.

here’s just a tip i’ve used in the past that seriously helps with dry time; instead of using a hunk of clay, cut out a piece of thick styrofoam and then wrap the clay around it and shape it!! it dries so fast!! and if you’re baking, hollow out the inside with tin foil and once it’s cooked, shove the styrofoam and glue the cooked bottom. not as secure as air dry, but still good!! also love your videos they brighten my day sm ❤️
Ok so for the clay that dried out, you just need to revive it with water. It works better for air dry clay, but it still works for foamy clay. Just mix it with water until the clumps squish into pieces, and repeat. As for air dry clay, just add water until it becomes soft. Also for the beads (both of them) I would turn them into earrings. For example, I would add a jump ring to the bead, and glue a thump tack to the jump ring, to make it an earring. And for the tassel, I would also turn those into earrings. I would also turn the cupcakes into keychains.
Hey! I’ve got something similar to the ball thing! Here’s the steps: 1. Get a canvas and and put it in a cardboard box 2. Get liquids paints and marbles. 3. Pour your liquid paints in the middle (ps, don’t spread it out just a small-medium drop in the middle) 4. Place marbles in the box and turn it and tilt it, the marbles with drawn on the canvas using the paint. Hope you do this, the results are pretty and you can hang them on your wall, or just put it somewhere!
I remember doing that in preschool! we had a black paper and some kinda tin things, shake it up, roll the marbles around, then slap a cartoony spider on it and hang up our ‘cobwebs’

Hi Moriah! I just want to say that I've been watching your channel for a long time and I really love your content! You inspired me to try more art forms outside of my comfort zone, including these. I tried making these tassels and now I make them for my custom bookmarks. I found that you can make multi colored tassels, just grab the ends of all the colors you want to use and wind them around your hand all together instead of individually. Keep in mind this tends to work better with a smaller amount of colors. Good luck! ❤

I love everything and it's all so cute!! The bead thingy reminded me of something, so you take paper or a canvas and you put it in an open box like a pizza box. Then you add paint and roll beads or marbles around by shaking the box side to side. So the marbles create a cool pattern on your paper or canvas.
I made a paper bead necklace like the one in the last "art things to do when you're bored" and gave it to one of my teachers to sell at a fundraiser for a girl in my town who was diagnosed with cancer, the teacher told me it sold quickly, so thank you❤❤
Great video Moriah! One comment on the beads: what you’re doing is actually a spin on a form of acrylic pour, where you use a marble to swirl the colors. If you were to do this again, my main tip to you would be to use runnier paint so it can be easily swirled, and pour the paint in large puddles that can be mixed by the beads (or marbles, if you chose to do that) instead if squiggly lines. Here’s one of the things I love about this series, and really about Moriah in general. She started this series in March of 2020. We ALL know why there was more potential for people to be bored, and it was probably a very strategic business decision for moriah to start a series like this at that point. But she’s never explicitly said that. She never drags the negative sad things into her videos. No matter what’s going on in the world, this channel is always positive and fun. I’ve always appreciated that I can escape the rest of the internet when it gets boring and sad, and come here where our biggest problems are incomplete rainbows and bad sprinkle spacing. It’s like a creative, rainbow oasis. Thank you, Moriah.

Teacher here, for the best results with bead rolling you get a box or a the lid something with a high enough edge so it doesn’t fall out, put your paper or canvas in there add the the paint and use whatever you want (we typically use marbles) drop them in and shake them around fast or slow or slowly tilt and rotate depending on what you want 😊

Yep, conserves clay and makes your sculptures lighter in weight. It also can help keep the entire structure all the same thickness and the same dehydration rate, which is huge for fired pottery. But if you've the resources and want to play around, more power to you. :)

You can also put the beads in a shallow box, lid or something with sides and roll them all around at the same time by tilting the canvas board around! Might be less controlled but still lots of fun! and its a good option for people with sensory needs and don't want to touch the paint.

here’s just a tip i’ve used in the past that seriously helps with dry time; instead of using a hunk of clay, cut out a piece of thick styrofoam and then wrap the clay around it and shape it!! it dries so fast!! and if you’re baking, hollow out the inside with tin foil and once it’s cooked, shove the styrofoam and glue the cooked bottom. not as secure as air dry, but still good!!

Ok so for the clay that dried out, you just need to revive it with water. It works better for air dry clay, but it still works for foamy clay. Just mix it with water until the clumps squish into pieces, and repeat. As for air dry clay, just add water until it becomes soft.
Also for the beads (both of them) I would turn them into earrings. For example, I would add a jump ring to the bead, and glue a thump tack to the jump ring, to make it an earring.
And for the tassel, I would also turn those into earrings.
I would also turn the cupcakes into keychains.
Hey! I’ve got something similar to the ball thing!
Here’s the steps:
1. Get a canvas and and put it in a cardboard box
2. Get liquids paints and marbles.
3. Pour your liquid paints in the middle (ps, don’t spread it out just a small-medium drop in the middle)
4. Place marbles in the box and turn it and tilt it, the marbles with drawn on the canvas using the paint.
Hope you do this, the results are pretty and you can hang them on your wall, or just put it somewhere!

I am going through a bead phase too.... suggestion: so you know perler beads, the ones that you put onto a little board to make a design then you iron them to melt them together? you should definitely try them! they are so fun, and you could do your characters
Hi Moriah! I just want to say that I've been watching your channel for a long time and I really love your content!
You inspired me to try more art forms outside of my comfort zone, including these. I tried making these tassels and now I make them for my custom bookmarks. I found that you can make multi colored tassels, just grab the ends of all the colors you want to use and wind them around your hand all together instead of individually. Keep in mind this tends to work better with a smaller amount of colors. Good luck! ❤

I love everything and it's all so cute!! The bead thingy reminded me of something, so you take paper or a canvas and you put it in an open box like a pizza box. Then you add paint and roll beads or marbles around by shaking the box side to side. So the marbles create a cool pattern on your paper or canvas.
That’s what I thought of too!!
I made a paper bead necklace like the one in the last "art things to do when you're bored" and gave it to one of my teachers to sell at a fundraiser for a girl in my town who was diagnosed with cancer, the teacher told me it sold quickly, so thank you❤❤
Great video Moriah! One comment on the beads: what you’re doing is actually a spin on a form of acrylic pour, where you use a marble to swirl the colors. If you were to do this again, my main tip to you would be to use runnier paint so it can be easily swirled, and pour the paint in large puddles that can be mixed by the beads (or marbles, if you chose to do that) instead if squiggly lines. Here’s one of the things I love about this series, and really about Moriah in general. She started this series in March of 2020. We ALL know why there was more potential for people to be bored, and it was probably a very strategic business decision for moriah to start a series like this at that point. But she’s never explicitly said that. She never drags the negative sad things into her videos. No matter what’s going on in the world, this channel is always positive and fun. I’ve always appreciated that I can escape the rest of the internet when it gets boring and sad, and come here where our biggest problems are incomplete rainbows and bad sprinkle spacing. It’s like a creative, rainbow oasis. Thank you, Moriah.

Teacher here, for the best results with bead rolling you get a box or a the lid something with a high enough edge so it doesn’t fall out, put your paper or canvas in there add the the paint and use whatever you want (we typically use marbles) drop them in and shake them around fast or slow or slowly tilt and rotate depending on what you want 😊

Just a quick tip. Nerdecrafter uses aluminum foil to conserve clay. Make it into a ball to help make your crafting go further. ❤️
Yep, conserves clay and makes your sculptures lighter in weight. It also can help keep the entire structure all the same thickness and the same dehydration rate, which is huge for fired pottery. But if you've the resources and want to play around, more power to you. :)
