The dog wasn't even "Alerted" to the situation during a guns drawn apprehension. In a situation like that with the unknown, with officers ready to use lethal force, the dog should have been "At the ready" in terms of being "Alerted" and ready to hammer somebody - and it wasn't. That dog is not a threat to anyone, most likely a narcotics dog and was brought out as a bluff. The dog's demeanor in a situation like that should have been "Cocked and Locked" at full alert, tensed up, adrenaline pumping and ready to launch. That dog is not an apprehension dog.

I don’t understand why there can’t be a sensor that says hey there’s no more weight in the seat turn off the Audible siren.
Lot of agencies use "park mode" nowadays where when the vehicle enters park, it will change both the lighting stage of the vehicle's lightbar and kill the siren, versus taking the extra time to look down and tap the button. I assume the agency displayed here assisting ASP doesn't, not that it's very expensive to program such a thing in what seems fairly modern vehicles...

Because there are timers when you WANT the siren to stay on. Like you're all alone in a remote area and in a foot pursuit so other cops can find you easily, or in a neighborhood alone and want as much attention as possible. They just need more stress training so the cops can deal with what's going on and turn it off. It's a training issue.
They also can't figure out how to unlock a car door from the inside apparently. Which honestly, the mind boggles at how they managed to steal it in the first place.

Incidents such as the two teenage girls in Louisiana who were killed when the officer enroute to...not even involved in but enroute to...a pursuit blew through a red light and T-boned them at 90 MPH are the reasons many pursuits are called off. or in some cases, not allowed in the first place.
I have always believed it only escalates the situation when pursuing a driver willing to run at triple digits making it much more dangerous especially when pitting at that speed but when done quickly like this it's probably the right thing to do especially when they have committed a felony. Also it's hard to run on foot when your pants are falling off.
It seems like we could prevent most of these high speed chases if LEOs would arrest people walking around with their pants not pulled up correctly. Merely an observation.

This was a great high speed PIT. I was expecting to see the vehicle wrapped around a tree or laying upside down from multiple rollovers but instead it just rolled softly backwards into a bunch of trees with criminals left alive to steal another day. For the life of me I don’t understand keeping the siren going once the chase stops. It adds to the chaos and makes hearing each other extremely difficult. For example, the K9 officer asked the siren to be turned off yet surprise, no one heard him.
So this is getting to be less and less of a common thing. Most of the time what happens is when officers get to scenes like this they are more worried about the subject and what they are doing and dont have time to reach over and turn the siren off. However now that most siren manufactures have added a relay for "park kill" it allows the siren to be shut off once the vehicle is placed in park thus one less thing for the officer to worry about. The reason it is still seen is a lot of agencies reuse equipment (saves tax payer money) versus buying the newer ones that make the scenes safer.

The military deploys explosives and flashbangs to create a stressful scenario during training. If they do that, then you know loud sirens aren't a good thing in an already high stress situation for cops not trained in combat.

The reason for this is, other than running from the troopers in the stolen vehicle, these thugs didn't resist arrest. Every time we hear about "bad" cops it's after the criminal violently resists arrest. When you resist arrest you start an unpredictable chain reaction of events that never ends well. But violently resisting arrest is a CHOICE, as is peacefully surrendering. Criminals need to either make better choices, or deal with the consequences.

Because when you have someone at gunpoint and need them to follow commands, cursing and saying your going to do something gets the point across, that way you get them into custody with putting the handcuffs on properly is the only force that is used and everyone is alive, not injured or dead

For the life of me I don’t understand keeping the siren going once the chase stops. It adds to the chaos and makes hearing each other extremely difficult. For example, the K9 officer asked the siren to be turned off yet surprise, no one heard him.
So this is getting to be less and less of a common thing. Most of the time what happens is when officers get to scenes like this they are more worried about the subject and what they are doing and dont have time to reach over and turn the siren off. However now that most siren manufactures have added a relay for "park kill" it allows the siren to be shut off once the vehicle is placed in park thus one less thing for the officer to worry about. The reason it is still seen is a lot of agencies reuse equipment (saves tax payer money) versus buying the newer ones that make the scenes safer.
Probably a rookie cop. Had 8 with guns drawn, rookie could've retreated to the car and turn it off. Bozo complicated the scene.
@@Jonnyboy4142 but when you have sirens on, it's harder to give commands and communicate with fell officers. Adrenaline and the lack of hearing clearly is creating stress that's not needed. The military deploys explosives and flashbangs to create a stressful scenario during training. If they do that, then you know loud sirens aren't a good thing in an already high stress situation for cops not trained in combat.
@@BlackDad-penitentiary I'm well aware of the stress that sirens create, I never stated that what was done was right. The point was to let the OP that I replied to know that there is technology that is getting to the point that it makes it easier for the officers to do their job and helps them not have to remember to shut the siren off in an already stressful environment. Something else that needs to happen more on scenes such as this is officers using one voice. It makes a stressful situation even worse when there are 3 officers yelling out commands.

The reason for this is, other than running from the troopers in the stolen vehicle, these thugs didn't resist arrest.
Every time we hear about "bad" cops it's after the criminal violently resists arrest. When you resist arrest you start an unpredictable chain reaction of events that never ends well. But violently resisting arrest is a CHOICE, as is peacefully surrendering. Criminals need to either make better choices, or deal with the consequences.
