Once in 1988 Zapata defeated anand in 6 moves. The situation there when anand took long time was somewhat similar and thus anand was thinking how to gain early advantage also he was surprised by smirins move as it was pretty unexpected
Zapata - Anand, Biel 1988...Vishy lost a piece in a similar line of the Petroff after 6 moves, after playing the flawed 5...Bf5 line used by American GM Larry Christiansen.
Rip commentators thoughts in anand's game they did not even realise why anand was willing to give the queen . As there was simple checkmate on rook takes a6.
I've no doubt Short could eat your liver at chess. He was actually a very strong player who was unfortunate enough to have peaked at the same time as Kasparov, one of the greatest of all time. A few years earlier and he would probably have been world champion. Even great players blunder occasionally, especially at shorter time controls. Polgar's initial blunder at allowing the check and queen invasion was itself remarkable.
I have no doubt you are just a „subject” of your british queen who wants to defend a british player (this is my answer considering your attack on me, not on my idea). And your suppositions about how good was one or another is just... suppositions. Kasparov PROVED he is good, 20 years, and he is playing even now in some events, it is a patzer mistake to compare those two with him. ...and, of course, i have no doubt Kasparov could eat you whole at chess. Even now.
Nigel Short won to Karpov and Timman and played for the Word Championship aganist Kasparov,in 1993.(lost,of course. But he has a place in the history of chess).Judit Polgar is a Genius.
Love these old videos. Quality wasn't important, the ambiance was.
Thanks!
It's the fourth move:
"Smirin playin very cleverly here"
WTF?

Judit is a bloody merciless 👊🏻
Yes, she is!
Hi interesting video. Why do you have a 2nd channel?
This channel it´s about classic games and the other channel is for new videos
Is Damien Lemos filming this from outer space?
Well, Damian was four years old in 1994 when this was filmed, so we reckon he did a pretty nifty job for a toddler!
Speaker sounds histeric. If You don't think - don't speak.
He didn't sac his queen Maurice it would have been a back rank mate if taken. Good god.
👌👌👌

Short was never an extraordinar player, and Polgar was just lucky.
