Nice reaction! Please believe me when I say that EZ’s Panalo did make us Filipinos come together. Truth. We all started watching when WishBus dropped it-making this performance blow up-because it made us feel proud to be Filipinos. (I know it did me.) And then things just snowballed & blew up even more from there. It’s only this one Lilliputian mayor who called him out in the news over a historical reference (after Panalo had already become huge) that caused a stir, making some think that this song is dividing us. Not true. That mayor? He’s just wanting the attention. To me, he’s the persona non grata😴🤤

EZ Mil didn't need to apologize. The politician just made an issue out of it. No one really knew how Lapu Lapu died. According to some people, Lapu Lapu just disappeared and some even say he was killed by his own family due to political differences. Lot of rumors and then they reacted just because the song blew up? Insane.
During primary school, we were not taught how Lapu Lapu died. We were taught that Lapu Lapu killed Magellan while some scholars say it was not Lapu Lapu who delivered the last blow that ended his life.
This issue is so annoying because people who did not do anything wrong should never apologize.

On your comment on 10:30, not sure if you were talking about the pause in the middle of the verse where he looked like he screwed up. But that was not the case. There was some swear words that the Wish Bus told him not to say because it might offend people. So he had to skip that part of the lyric. Thats when he was switching from Tagalog to Ilokano language.
