john,i had one of those bowls last night.moist 8ozs of fresh hbookshop,it came to me moist.everyone says bone dry,not mine and it was sublime for more then an hour.i sipped that bowl nice and slow...wow,what a good smoke it was.i love october
Everything is relative! If you're used to smoking moister tobacco, then yes, HB is dry. Since I've been smoking it for years, it always comes to me with the same moisture content which is perfect.

I actually told my wife a few weeks ago that I thought it would be great if you talked about the hauntings around the East coast/Conn area..since you live there. The Ammityville house,(long island NY) the Conjuring house in Rhode island, (the Annabelle Doll, etc..). Is Lorraine Warren still talked about around the Connecticut area? I saw a production by the Tulsa Opera of "The Crucible" by Robert Ward, based on the play by Arthur Miller. It explores the feelings and prejudices, rather than the history. Good opera. Great story, as always!
John you have covered TB, Vampires and Witches. Ever thought of talking about Leprosy in New England. I was in Vietnam 1968 1969 as a Surgeon. My team would go into a Lepor colony run by Catholic Nuns to deliver health clinic. Became friends with the Nuns. So if my team was caught out in the country side and dark was starting we would stay in the Lepor colony for the night. We were safe because the Viet Cong or NVA were afraid of the mystery of the leapers

I visited it when I was in Boston bought some tobacco a tin of Esoterica Dorchester and there own blend D-9575 didn’t realize they blended their own, the store was a great experience and the tobacco was great to. Beware of Witch’s I’ve known a few in my day
'somebody's chickens weren't layin enough eggs or somethin' 😂🤣 fun fact: i searched 'YTPC' on TH-cam one time; sure enough, a bunch of YTPC vids popped up, but not all pipe community; a few were 'pagan club/community'!😳 one gal has a bunch of vids on how to be a witch, spells, wands, potions, ceremonies, etc. yep, witches are alive and well and everywhere these days.. 👻
Waves of Java most of them are kinda....funny, but don't assume all are that type. I don't know about other areas but here in Mississippi the Pagans and witches popping up out of the woods are rarely fluffy.
Matches860 Definitely. Between the various Ancient Pagan religions and post dark ages occultists there are more than I know about. I am personally what would be called eclectic, creating my own beliefs from many philosophies and religions, guided by my own logic and morals.

Hey John! I live in Salem, MA and unfortunately I have to live this stuff every day, especially this time of year. The entire month of October is Halloween here. People walk around in full costume for the whole month. I try to avoid the downtown area until it's over. You're right though. The witch trials and deaths were a huge tragedy based on accusations, lies, and falsehoods but they sure are a source of great stories!! Cheers!!
Oh, I used to drive through town (Salem) back in the 1980's to get to Marblehead and Beverly. Never really had much time to enjoy the area but It sure is beautiful from the car!
There is some beautiful scenery up here. I live on the Salem/Marblehead line so I get to enjoy them both pretty regularly. I'm not complaining about the area at all. It just gets a little crazy this time of year!!

Matches was already in use on YT so I tried 2,3, 4, 5...and they were all rejected so I figured my area code (860) was a high enough number LOL. Sure enough, Matches860 was accepted and I thought, uh oh, what am I gonna do with that name?
I find that stuff very interesting, what's up with the Northeast?? seems like that's where most of the witches and hauntings and Exorcist happened at Haha! it really bothers me what they did in the Christian Crusade days to people just because they were a little different or stood out in some way, it's terrible how they tortured and murdered people back then.
When you see a jung woman with pale skin long red curley hair and big beautiful eyes green like the forest itself smiling at you that's when you're in big trouble. Believe me. Tales of witches ripping your heart out alive or turning you into stone sound made up if you take them literally. But if you think about it. Better should've run imo. [Sad emojicon]
