'Optimal' corner combo against Q: EX rekkas, 1-hit EX rekka, 1-hit L rekka, H rekka, L followup, QCF+LK (need to delay LK and hold forward after QCF motion to walk for a couple of frames in order to get both hits to connect). Might be one of my favourite combos in 3rd strike, had to boot up training mode after seeing the intro. Keep up the good work, AutoMattock!
Another interesting fact about Yang vs Q: Yang's cl.MP, s.LK link doesn't work on standing Q, but Yang can walk for one frame after hitting cl.MP in order to connect LK. Delaying LK and inputting it as forward + lk helps quite a bit. Can also be done after command grab.
For launcher after command grab it works on Chun - no microwalk needed Makoto - no microwalk needed Q - no microwalk needed Twelve - microwalk needed Hugo - microwalk needed (hard asf, at least to me)
Not sure if they're other characters it works on but if it does work, it's way too frame perfect to be worth going for. Especially since looping this mixup is so strong (launcher xx sjc HP xx command grab/high/low)
been absolutely loving these character guides, they strike a pretty good balance of not being overwhelming with how much information there is, while still having enough information to actually be helpful
Yang is the reason I got into third strike and then I found about it his brother Yun and ever since then I've been in love with these two characters ever since I played it back in 2008 but I never really learned how to do some of the cool stuff that Yang has like his links I've always wondered how the hell do you do crouching like kick into ex Recca like consistently are standing medium punch into light kick into ex Recca these are things I wish I learned I just kind of copied what other people did with Kim but he is my absolute favorite character I love Yang and that'll always be my dude❤❤❤ I am thankful for this video cuz you kind of helped me understand like how he's meant to be played
I always said if I came back to this game, I'd play Yang. I love 3rd strike (second favorite fighter), but imo it's too top-heavy. Now as a Jaime main, Yang just calls to me
Anything in particular to say about divekick? Its obviously a good tool, but I don't know much about it in particular. I've notice it can kinda cross up....
Apart from all the cool stuff that can be done at high level 3s Yang is just fun and very easy to pick up enough to press some buttons and have a good time.
I’m going to be switching from playing on the abysmal Crapcom collection version of 3S to playing on Fightcade soon. Do I need to download anything else for this training mode or just Fightcade?
I've always thought both Yun and Yang needed more stun damage output. They're both exceptionally weak in that category. Which doesn't make sense for Bajiquan users in general.

Yang SAII doesnt have to side switch midscreen. If you hit st. mp when you land, you’ll stay on the same side
I swear I remember you could just hold a direction to land on that side?

Ya, you beat my ass with that pink stick with yang FR09. It was a learning experience
Ggs that was me
EX Rekka is a pretty good gold move.
This was a really good guide to Yang! I hope you do one for Dudley in the future. Finding resources on how to play him is surprisingly difficult...
Thank you, literally asked for the tutorial this morning!

ever play much necro? just started on my Necro journey and I always enjoy the way you explain things
EX slashes is the best EX move in the game. imo
I think "activation range" is the term you were looking for. Close HP has a bigger activation range than close MP.
Did I miss anything? Let me know here!

Haven't watched the whole thing yet obviously but are you planning on doing character guides for the whole cast in 3rd strike?
Hopefully
I plan on doing them randomly when people ask lol
@@JiBbo well it seems like the perfect time to ask for Dudley or Urien? Please and thank you
@@JiBbo You got any secret Ken tech? :)
WHY IS CROUCH MP +2 ON BLOCK ON DUDLEY AND +4 ON CHUN LOL

@@JiBbo thank you!
is there any practical use for the mp hp b+hp target combo into super?
Wait, why is Yang SA3 way worse than Yun SA3? I dont play 3s, but they looks pretty similar
Yun's allows for all sorts of crazy juggles and yang's doesn't. And when it does allow juggles, they don't do ANY damage compared to Yun.
When Yun touches you with meter, the game is over. When Yang touches you with meter, youre about to get tickled.

If yun had good stun damage, its joever.
