I just a month ago on vacation to Bali with my family. Bali is now a very beautiful city. During a week in Bali I visited Seminyak, Ubud, Kuta, Kintamani, Tanah Lot and Bedugul. I really enjoyed the whole trip. and also visit seminyak beach and maelastri beach. i really enjoyed my trip in bali for a week. but there is something very unfortunate that there are still many shops that are closed and no longer active after the covid pandemic for 2 years. I hope Bali will recover soon. maybe I will come back to visit Bali again.
As long as all westerner respect our culture we will always opened our heart . Indonesian has many cultures, that locals respect and must be respected how we do how to respon that . Ignorant culture from western cannot be applicated in Indonesia.

I stayed in the Gu for 6 weeks and hated it from the bottom of my heart. In my opinion, Canggu is not safe. There is a serious motorbike / drunk driving / or reckless driving accident per week. Just check the news. A foreigner died in June. Another tourist was found dead in July. My girl friends have experienced multiple dangerous situations going out at night, where guys would try to spike their drinks, or they woke up without remembering the last night. Canggu is also full of Russians with Botox lips and fake tits, pretending living a rich life. Prices shot up drastically since May 2022, traffic is madness, the air is polluted, the beaches are ugly. You're welcome!😉
I couldn't agree more with you. And also bad infrastructure. Too crowded, too noisy. My Balinese friends told me Bali/Indonesia has lost its authenticity in Canggu.
Couldn’t agree more, I think in Canggu there’s all the worst expats, of course there’s also great people but the amount of spoiled, entitled and pretentious people in Canggu is second to none

Most of them working for embassies, multinational companies or hi-tech companies.. I asked them where to stay if they go to Bali. They answered Nusa Dua, Pecatu, Uluwatu.. no one wanna stay in Canggu.

I've never been to Bali during the Pandemic, so what I experienced was the regular prices for housing. I usually stayed in a Guest House at different locations on different islands. I learned how to drive a dirtbike when I was 13. the scooter is the easiest thing to drive, it doesn't even have different gears, which is a no-brainer on how to drive. I know the crowded streets will throw a learning curb for the first-time Bali drivers though.

Hi Jill and Susan, I really enjoy your vloggs. However, I would suggest you edit the part with your address of your villa. There are many nut cases around and it is very dangerous. Also, have an idea for Jill for her vloggs because she is just starting it maybe do a couple of vloggs of the new supermarket and maybe a chemist in Bali. People love them. Also, maybe do a fashion parade of balinese clothes sold at the warungs and add some sandals, jewellery and belts to them. Noone has done this. Promote that the clothes are good value, light fabric suitable for humid weather. Anyway just some ideas.
Not only raining and summer in bali i guess, dont forget it, we have a winter season and windly in bali also from june-august because when australia get winter time it happen annyway. the wheather is so nice around 21° in the morning, and 25 ° in the day time, expecialy in ubud or more north in bali.
A membership to a gym is not necessary for fitness. At home I do presses on the bed. I do curls, and lifts while standing. Without weights I do sit-ups, crunches, and other floor exercises. I have a stationary bike for cardio exercise. That will save you a ton of money, and save you the time it takes to go to a gym.

To be honest i prefer Nusa Dua area mainly around GWK Statue area. Last time i go to Canggu i kinda dissapointed with the beach and also kinda annoyed with tons of Russians that were plaguing that place (probably because i visit it December 2022 when Russians are highly dominant in there). They were simply disrespecting the unwritten local rules by wandering around Bali with their modified scooters only wear bikinis or swimwears. Makes people annoyed with their outfits and the blaring sound from their motorcycles.
