Oops! at 13:51 I've captioned Bank Street, Mid Calder as Bridge Street.

Good ride Donald, or should I say Donald Duck 😉. Good job you did that before the paths iced over.

Thanks Mike. It was a quacking day for a ride 😜. Hope you're all settling in to your new abode.

Some of these paths are very familiar having walked and cycled on them countless times. And some are completely new to me. So many paths in Livi that I miss so many interesting routes

Thanks for commenting. It's a good network that could do with some TLC in parts from WLC!

Hi I’ve just found your channel after living and working in East Calder for 45years. This has opened my eyes to the network of paths throughout West Lothian and I am now planning on spending time exploring them.thanks for the videos and maybe see you around. I have seen your bike at the local Iidl and admired it, little did I know this was the local explorer. All the best and thanks 👍

Thank you, I really appreciate your comment! My aim was always to encourage more people to use the path network. The 'Spokes' West Lothian cycle map is worth having if you want to explore the area. You can pick up a copy at West Lothian Bike Library if you don't already have one. (We're all volunteers, mostly retired, and one of us is usually around on weekday mornings, Thursdays for me). Cheers, Donald.

I ended up with the Tern short haul as I wanted to be able to maintain it without a shop since I'm not near one. I might add a motor later but I do enjoy the exercise so far.
Also, have you found a good way to place your pannier bike bags with that rank you have in the back? I wanted a back rank like that but I feel like it will be hard to use my bags

Thanks for the comment. My rack is the Tern Shortbed Tray and I use it with Tern Cargo Hold 37 Panniers. You can get an idea of how they work together on my 'Grocery Run' video ... th-cam.com/video/aEAu0nBKRec/w-d-xo.html .
The Tern cargo rack for the Short Haul looks a bit smaller but I see that the 37 Panniers are offered as an accessory. I'd guess that access isn't mush different to my HSD setup.

@@lostinlivi well I got pannier bags from ortlieb but I feel like it's a tight fit to open if I were to have a rack but I'll look at it when I get home later
