Who's your favorite MLB pitcher? 🤔
Logan Gilbert
Ronel Blanco
Edwin diaz
Gerrit Cole
Justin Verlander
I had tj my freshman year summer I was broken devastated. Many people don’t understand the mentality, the grind it takes to be back throwing and trusting yourself.
Freshman in hs or collage?
@@Michael-ft1in high school
Sry, did you keep playing?
Way to not give up on your dream?
This is by far one of the hardest things for a young man. I had my TJ surgery at 16yo and unfortunately I wasn’t able to come back from it. I feel for him on the dream getting taken away at such a young age. Amazing to see he’s made a great recovery
i can vouch when he says its really tough to see your dream taken away. 99% of kids who played ball at some point goes through this. good to see him get back on track
I believe he will be successful. He's got everything going in his direction. Talent, hard work, great family support and he's not a quiter.
Man, all support to him bro. I lost baseball for three years to injuries. I hated every day of those 3 years.
I hope he makes it to the big leagues. Great young man there.
Dont forget. There are people who literally get the TJ surgery done BEFORE an injury in an attempt to strengthen it before it pops. Also, it has been known to increase velo 2 to 3 mph once fully recovered from a NON RUPTURED surgery
wow this kid is so mature
GO GET IT KID!!!
Regardless of what people feel about the surgery, this kid WILL get all the opportunities in the world. His arm may blow out, but UNTIL then......
No days off!!!!!!
I had Tommy John surgery in 2004. I feel his pain. Ended up playing 4 years of college ball.
im recovering from Tommy John right now and it is 90% mental and 10% physical
Not a baseball player rather soccer but I tore my acl just under a year and a half ago I’m fully recovered but this seems like the equivalent from what I get is acl is more of a physical battle mostly just bc you can’t walk for a little while but it was almost all mental good luck with your recovery bro you got it
How long does recovery take?

Awesome story! Hes awesome to watch
You go kid I hope you make it big time 💪💯🔥🔥
Hoping to see you in the Dodgers lineup down the road! Good luck!
Never had TJ, probably could’ve been close though. Shredded my rotator cuff, small tear in my labrum.. all of this my freshman year of high school.
Already recovered from TJ!? Iconic
facts
omg i teared up!
same
Absolutely epic
Psalm 37:5-7
5 Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
7 Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Real life rookie of the year
Confidence.....gotta have it. He does.
Only downside is he’ll probably need TJ surgery at some point.
Pitchers can’t handle that much torque and velo for extended lengths of time.
Hope this kid is different and has a long successful career
**edit already had UCL surgery.. 🤦🏻♂️
Probably another one in his 20s
Angels!!!!!!! Let's GO
Sad I didn’t live my dream and made bad choices I wish you best of luck brother love the game sm
HEAT
I think kids nowadays appreciate enough the ability to not throw as hard as you can. I remember when Justin Verlander started pitching, he had no problem throwing 98/99. However, he chooses to start with a slower fastball and rev up the speed later in the game. That probably contributed to the longevity of his career.
Verlander had Tommy John.
@@masonestrada8134 Yes but he had it when he was over 35 yrs old so his strategy worked you could say
That’s wildddd
Usually guys like him and strasburg make it but never considered the greatest. Because they have so many injury problems. Training for just a specific sport breaks your body down.
I believe with the way they can anchor a tendon of such there is very little fear of it ever tearing off again . They drill a hole in the arm bone and send the tendon with an anchor to the bone and baseball stitch it in place so unless the titanium anchor finds a magic breaking point look out. He has a lot to prove to be a real pitcher for years . This happening this early is going to scare the pants off scouts. If he finds his way to the MLB it will be a miracle but that is the case for most people I supposed and a 99 heat at least gives him more chance than your average fella. I have seen guys like this end up in Mexico a bunch and make nice careers out that . I hope he does not break .
I’m 15 and tore my labrum and I have to get surgery, hopefully it’ll happen to me😮
the def put chalk in that mitt to make it do that
18 and needed that surgery already? Glad he can play again, but would def pass on that for reliability reasons etc. Hopefully he heals it properly and takes proper steps to fully recover but still not sure if or what teams will want to take that chance.
People wondering why TJS is more in Highschool levels now then the MLB....you have kids that are hearing that VELO is the only way so the kids just throw as hard as they can ever time they pick up a baseball.
star
Brasier on the Red Sox or Chris sale on the braves
does your arm still hurt? currently I have a sprained UCL
after a arm injury like thwt after surgey its a lot better but I have a permanent bone contusion and i still play through it with a lot of pain.

Wasn't this a movie?
Little league coaches overusing their ace pitchers are largely to blame for all the TJ surgeries going on in teenagers nowadays.
Also kids throw too much. Instead of playing different sports they specialize in I sport and the body wasn’t made for that.
no way bro started crying talking about it
Kyle i own you in shadow boxing
Oh boy. Now all the parents are going to go and try and get UCL reconstruction on their kids assuming that it works every time.
Welp. I don’t see the TJ epidemic ending anytime soon.
I got surgery at the age of 6
Bro is cooked
Kyle 🥹🥹
but the question is, was he throwing too hard as a youth or too much? Is he throwing too much or too hard now?
Stop letting kids throw breaking pitches at young ages. Not until they are older. He will need another TJ done by the time he’s 23. Which he will shorten his career by many years.
This is getting stupid. The mlb is sacrificing pitchers. Keep the clock but let them use substances for grip. Piss on the heater and let em concentrate on curves and such. But no the mlb only wants heat and hard hits for tv. These kids are ruining their arms well before college. It's sad
Once they manufacture everyone in the bigs to throw 99 then what…hitters get used to it. Throwing hard is not pitching. It would behoove clubs to start the culture of the Glavine and Smtz era back.
Dudes only 18 and already has had surgery? No thanks I’ll pass. Give me a guy that maxes at 94 and is dependable. Don’t need 98+

Completely disagree with this.
Some people just get unlucky. My shoulder got shredded when i was 14 from softball due to bad mechanics. I had to ge5 my rotator cuff, Biceps tendon, and labrum totally reconstructed. Just applaud this kids hard work because it’s not easy.
I see what u are saying too tho, some guys that throw this hard and are dependable and can have some nice other pitches I will take them tho
check out aiden sims its what happend to him

Hi
Prolly cause you have no days off lol
He already had surgery and continues to throw 99. Smh.
Everybody now having surgery to throw faster wtf
He probably threw 60
He probably threw 60 in little league at the age of 7
You pushed him to hard ... that's why he got injured. #PandaMom
It’s not that hard to hit a 90-100mph fastball. Whats everyone’s problem?
fr i was hitting 110 at like 12
