But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." I hope this verse helps someone, because it sure has helped me in my own battles with lust and temptation. We are never alone in our temptations, because we all suffer from the same temptations. We can trust God because He will never let us be tempted so much that we can't stand against the enemy. God will always provide a way for us to choose the right path - to train the right way.
I’m tempted to sin, and it’s hard to resist even after I pray and read the Bible. I’ve been able to not sin in every other area (almost) except this one! I’m not married and I don’t watch porn, and I’ve been single and celibate by choice for 2 years! But I still have a problem with masturbation. Being unmarried makes it nearly impossible for me to resist because I have no outlet. Every two to four weeks I have to ask for forgiveness. What can I do to combat this other than praying and reading the Bible when the overwhelming temptation emerges and BURNS like an inferno? I already pray and read the Bible when this happens, and even if I don’t masturbate I still ejaculate and I can’t control it! What the heck am I supposed to do with a problem like this? Anyone? For example, my issue was not clicking on not interested when Instagram models flaunting their bodies would show up on my feed. I knew the problem from the root and still continued. I thought by still looking and “controlling or fighting the urges” I would become victorious. I thought not sinning would bring me closer to god but it was getting closer to god that stopped me from lust. Read the Bible, trust.

No human has the strength. You need to pray for The Holy Spirit in your life. He will guide you. Jesus will lead you in your walk of obedience. Feel the conviction of how utterly disgusting this is. Flee from the sins of the flesh. Take a walk, feed the animals, look at nature, give thanks to The Lord Jesus. It is good.
When dealing with lust you need to cut out all the things that's triggering it and once that's out the way, Just ignore the urges and pray to God know that he is on your side and with him on your side anything is possible especially beating lust. When it comes to your mind just ignore it.

I have to thank you brother. Earlier today I committed this sin of lust and adultery watching pornography even though I knew it was wrong. Even while watching it I could sense the Holy Spirit telling me to stop watching it. I cried right after. I realize that we as humans will fail from time to time because we are not God. We are not Jesus. We are not perfect. God did not promise that we won’t go through life without trials and tribulations. He did however promise that he would be with us to guide us through life every step of the way. I believe Christ is the son of God and that He died for our sins on that cross so that we may be with Him in eternity in the heavens. God Help Me, I am getting closer to Jesus more than I’ve ever been and the devil is threatened by it, so the temptations and failures are more frequent than ever. I’m 46 years old and this is one of my biggest struggles. It only became an issue after my wife of 13 years divorced me four years ago and I’ve been completely alone and celibate ever since. Struggling and suffering in about every way possible. I was saved a year after the divorce glory to God but that hasn’t made this any easier. Except that I’ve been asking God to help me to resist the temptation of lust and with the Holy Spirit I’ve finally started to overcome. I keep asking the Lord to send me a Godly new wife but it seems that I’m meant to be alone the rest of my life. I need to accept that and learn to just live for the Lord and nothing else. Peace only comes from accepting His will and not our own.

I noticed something about myself today. The lust I still have is smaller than it was 6 months ago. Every day seems to be the next step away from lust. I did something today, but it didn't feel good at all... it's like the lust did not taste as sweet as it used to. I've been looking for myself for God's character. Every time we look when we not supposed to, or look where we not supposed to, or watch what we not supposed to you’re feeding your lust. On top of that your heart consumes EVERYTHING, from what you listen to, and watch on tv , etc. (you aren’t over an addiction if you still feed it a little bit) but MOST IMPORTANTLY you need to beat it into your head that you ARE NOT the same person you were before you came to Jesus, we have been set free in his name. For example, my issue was not clicking on not interested when Instagram models flaunting their bodies would show up on my feed. I knew the problem from the root and still continued. I thought by still looking and “controlling or fighting the urges” I would become victorious. I’m 46 years old and this is one of my biggest struggles. It only became an issue after my wife of 13 years divorced me four years ago and I’ve been completely alone and celibate ever since. Struggling and suffering in about every way possible. I was saved a year after the divorce glory to God but that hasn’t made this any easier. Except that I’ve been asking God to help me to resist the temptation of lust and with the Holy Spirit I’ve finally started to overcome. I keep asking the Lord to send me a Godly new wife but it seems that I’m meant to be alone the rest of my life. I need to accept that and learn to just live for the Lord and nothing else. Peace only comes from accepting His will and not our own.

the self control part is something i struggle with. i mean, not lust wise, but getting mad wise and cussing wise. its not bad to get mad, we all get mad, but the cussing along with it, i let myself go too much. i need to self control myself better.

Oh my gosh yall when I tell you this have been struggling with lust for so long and I finally kinda got it away until right now. Just a couple minutes ago I started uncontrollably lusting. I get on TH-cam and this is one of the first things that pop up. Wow how great God is!! AMEN❤️❤️❤️✝️✝️✝️

This video was amazing! I’ve been struggling this past month and I’ve just been so annoyed with myself. I’ve felt fake, I’ve felt like I’m not a real Christian and the devil has been telling me, a real Christian doesn’t fall, a real Christian doesn’t make mistakes, but I’ve been thanking the Lord Jesus Christ for this conviction in my heart and remembering that if I did not have the Holy Spirit I would not care about my sim! This video was such an encouragement to keep going and keep fighting and keeping running and just remembering the prodigal son and that the Lord Jesus is running back to me and is my Savior! I pray that whoever reads this and struggles with sin would remember that this race is not over till the Holy Spirit says it is, and my Bible says in Hebrews 13:6 that he will never leave you nor forsake you! Hebrews 13:8 Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever! Thank you Lord for being my trainer and savior and Lord! Lead me to be strong and courageous in you! In Jesus Name, Amen! 😊❤

Its not about trying to avoid it with your own will and strength. that will never work. The fleshly desires are too strong. That is why God sends His Holy Spirit to live inside of us when we are born again. The Holy Spirit wars against the flesh, and helps take those desires away, and gives us the strength to avoid the temptation. Without the Holy Spirit, its impossible. If you have the Holy Spirit, you already have a direct line to God. No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. Depend on the Holy Spirit. He is the key. You dont need others to pray for you. The Holy Spirit lives inside you if you are born again. You are not alone. When temptation comes, capture it immediately, ask the Holy Spirit to remove it in Jesus name. The longer you entertain it, the harder it will be to avoid. Run from it if you have to, and stay away from situations that pose a threat. Be sure to pray and read the word daily, to develop a relationship with Jesus, and to build a strong foundation. It is Essential. If you truly desire to please God more than you desire to sin, then the Holy Spirit will deliver you, and renew your mind. So depend on the Holy Spirit. He is the key. Remember, the power to overcome lust doesn't come from your own strength, but from the grace and guidance of a loving and merciful God. Be blessed
