i love Merle. i was so pissed when he was killed off. imagine him going head to head against Negan if he'd survived.
Merle Dixon was an absolute badass, that's why they couldn't have him around when Negan showed up. Merle would of turned Negan into mince meat.

I was absolutely pissed when they killed merle off he could have easily stayed for another hole season or more

Thank you so much! I've been on the lookout for a good song for Merle, but he's a hard character to find music for - he's definitely an interesting and dynamic character. "Without Me" just sort of donned on me one day and it came together in my head really quickly. Lyric matching is my favorite thing to do! Thanks again, my friend!

He did change, I'd say. The minute he cut Michonne free, he began to redeem himself. The fact he sacrificed himself to give the group a better chance showed that he did have a genuine change of heart, despite the fact that he knew he wouldn't be accepted. Like Carol said, he was just a late bloomer.

He died a hero in the end , he redeemed himself ! He was arrogant in the beginning but He was such a badass if he lived he wouldve killed negan without a doubt
