The Man Who Tried to Feed the World recounts the story of Norman Borlaug, a man who not only solved India’s famine problem but would go on to lead a “Green Revolution” of worldwide agriculture programs estimated to have saved one billion lives. He was awarded the 1970 Nobel Peace Prize for his work but spent the rest of his life watching his methods and achievements come under increasing fire.

The current right wing of Indian political class projects a glorious version of history while undermining this contribution of American & human ingenuity & contribution. The Indian left surely appreciates & remembers this. Anyhow I truly feel humans will have a similar struggle with food security & global warming & will overcome it. Human population is not the problem. The problem is greed, greed has corrupted how we nurture what God has given us.
Greed world-wide, from top to bottom results in grabbing as much for self as we can-no matter how much we have, we still work even harder at increasing our gains at whatever cost. We invent more invasive/intrusive machines to glean and claw the last little bits from this earth. Our chief joy and excitement is getting rich and richer, no matter how deep we have to dig or how high we have to go, or which rivers we have to set new courses for. Of course, all this depletes the earth's life-giving properties, they're all blown away in the resultant violent winds or gushed away in flood waters. We have scraped the earth clean of her topsoils, her nutrients and instead spread man-made poisons over the remaining hard, dead crust to feed ourselves. Now we go shopping to buy "fertile soil" because our soils are dead, depleted. Yet we don't stop and start (world-wide) feeding back what we tore out, we won't stop. I see the garbage trucks carrying away "Greenwaste" from people's gardens. We are supposed to (at least) feed this Greenwaste/plant food back to the plants we pruned it from. I see neighbours spraying Roundup on the weeds in their driveways-shame, shame on us.

What Mr. BORLAUGH did is a GREAT temporary FIX... we have to Honor him for that ...!!!
But ...even GOD HIMSELF CANNOT FIX the problems we face today ... IF HUMANS DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for themselves and
BE KIND TO THE MOTHER EARTH...!!!
we also MUST LEARN TO RESPECT OUR FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS...!!!
Whatever high achievements we make ... Nothing will work... UNLESS we follow the policy for FAMILY PLANNING... GLOBALLY... not just one or two nations ...!!!
If it is not implemented globally it will be a disaster worse than today... because of refugee crisis, illegal immigration, illegal human, drugs and criminal trafficking... alcoholism, mental disorders, terrorism etc. etc... BEYOND CONTROL...!!!
Family Planning is the only SOLUTION FOR HEALTHY and POLLUTION FREE LIVING...!!!
A SMALL FAMILY HEALTHY FAMILY...!!!
HEALTHY FAMULY HEALTHY SOCIETY...!!!
HEALTHY SOCIETY HAPPY HUMANITY...!!!
HAPPY HUMANITY A PEACEFUL WORLD...!!!
Whatever we do with the use of modern science and technology... UNLESS we give PRIORITY TO PREVENT FUTURE POPULATION GROWTH AND HEALTHY MAINTAINANCE ... Humanity will be at LOST...!!!
Our phylogenetics will change and will lead to UNTOWARD
BEHAVIORAL CHANGES...!!!
Wealth and Hordes of Grains WILL NOT SAVE THE HUMANITY from DETERIORATION...!!!
We must ACT NOW to reduce the future population growth of not only just humans but also animals, birds, pets and others...!!!
We have all kinds of knowledge today...!!!
Let us use that for our healthy, happy and QUALITY LIFE & LIVING...!!!
