To make a ruffle use a long straight stitch (@6mm long, aka basting stitch). Then tie a knot in threads on one end, hold the other thread ends in one hand and gently slide the fabric along the thread to gather as shown in video. When you sew the ruffle to the bottom of the apron with a shorter straight stitch (@3mm for denim) it will hold the ruffle gathers in place.
I love the results. Cute. Maybe you could lay a tape measure across the fabric before you sew it giving some idea of say the length of the bodice. It’s evident you are a very experienced seamstress. 😃
You have the communication skills of paint drying...or you too interested in trending to actually make a video people can understand what you are doing!
