Man, I never would have believed it but rabbits love love love when I put their grazing cage near the bushes. Their favorites are holly and rose of Sharon
I mainly use privet, willow, apple, pear, maple, and tons of others. New grape growth is great. I also ad charcoal as well. Charcoal and Willow have medicinal properties. Willow is very high in tannins.
I have a giant bucket of chew sticks. Pear, apple, and peach twigs. We have to dry the peach twigs for a while so they are separated. Their favorite is the pear trigs because they always have more knobly bits
Can't wait to see more :) I was thinking about a few apple tree clones too thanks for the tips rabbit chews are important and you can buy them too... But if you can grow or find them all the better nice and fresh... Our food Forest hedge has food for rabbits and rabbits has lots of food for the garden :) We love our rabbit nuggets around here lol
Rabbit manure is such a helpful thing to have on the property. We get calls from time to time asking for manure and I always just offer to sell them a manure machine and then they ask what that is(a rabbit).
Apple and lilac chews right now... I have a purple lilac bush the rotting wood gets purple grain so I thinking about carving something... But the rabbits get the tender tips and buds love them lots It's nice having rabbits in these times of no meat on the shelfs in the store I wanted to start working on some hides I froze them so they are ready when I am so? I was thinking about salt and egg tan but I have no idea what I am doing I don't want to waste them any pointers?
probably shouldnt't but I prune and feed the prunings all year long then save the prunings after the rabbits get done with them and burn the prunings in my smoke house
I'm glad you liked the slapstick comedy i know in my future sadly there will be more of it to come. Dennis was the music too loud. not your style or what kinds of music do you listen too. Any feed back is very much appreciated. Thanks

We don't need to prune our apple trees the deer eat them right off
Fruit trees are one of their favorite snacks!
