That's because it's not a lot of money to him. The same mindset that causes an emotional reaction to the price of things keeps your thinking small and limits your capacity to change your station in life. It's called having an abundance mindset and the confidence to bet on yourself.
Jame's reaction says that he understands that it's a reasonable price for the engineering, patents, materials, support, marketing, etc. I get it. It's definitely a consideration. It would be stupid to pay $20k for it. But $6500? Not unrealistic at all.
Those who obsess over the price of everything have a scarcity mindset and put unnecessary limitations on themselves.

I couldn’t agree more with the previous commenter. You are NOT the target market for this gun. This is a competition gun. Competition guns are usually quite expensive because they’re specially tuned and have custom features. Laugo is a European manufacturer and in Europe, 9mm is king. This is not a hunting or self defense gun. I’m sure someone is doing it but very few people are shooting 10mm in competition. Nobody’s shooting .45 Super in any situation. .45 Super is practically a dead cartridge in the US and it NEVER had a life at all in Europe. A manufacturer like Laugo doesn’t care enough about your pet calibers to change their entire business model just to make a few guns that no one will buy anyway. You even admitted you wouldn’t buy the guns because they would cost more than you’re willing to pay for them. The guns cost what they cost. The guns demand a high price because they cost Laugo a lot of money to make them. The materials used are top notch. Laugo also has to recoup the cost of research and development as the gun doesn’t use a traditional Browning tilt barrel system. All of that cost money and the cost gets passed on to the consumer. You’re too poor to buy one of these pistols.

@@seanherrmann6301 the fundamental mechanical designs that it uses aren’t revolutionary from a manufacturing perspective. The comparison isn’t nearly as fitting as you’d think. You can’t reduce the machining steps from a McLaren twin turbo V8, or at least not enough to matter. You can’t really reduce the cost of a carbon fiber chassis. You can’t change the alloys of steel and aluminum used to something more affordable without completely redesigning part geometries. But there are tons of ways to reduce the cost of the Laugo, and tons of reasons that it really shouldn’t cost as much as it does. It doesn’t use any exotic alloys, and it doesn’t require any novel methods of construction. Love the product , but with the key design criteria of "Price Being No Object" is a product geared to a very small market share. If I want extremely low recoil in a center fire pistol, why not go with the new M&P 5.7. According to the Honest Outlaw is an extremely low recoiling pistol. There are multiple ways to manage recoil w/o the need to throw money at it. Seems like a very expensive solution to a problem that can be easily rectified with a lot less cost.

Only draw back is that it includes 2 mags instead of 3.
Honestly I'm sure this gun is better than the Canik but all's I'm saying is that the Canik is good enough that the USPSA carry optics national championship was won by a shooter using a Canik Rival. It's objectively a fantastic pistol with very high quality manufacturing and quality control and it comes with everything you need except for a third magazine and it's only $630--thats less than a basic Glock MOS and it's better than a Glock by miles and I say that as a devoted Glock shooter and fanboy.
