Looking awesome George!! You & your daughter are doing great job. Digging is not the fun part for sure, but a necessary part to having your dream koi pond. Keep going! It’ll be so worth it in the end!! 👍👍😊

Just showed in my feed, new subscriber. Currently watching the pond playlist. After cost, digging is the biggest killer of Koi pond builds. I've been involved in and built, for other people getting on for 50 Koi ponds. Only now, for the first time have i got the space and money to build one for myself. Dig out is in a couple of weeks - weather permitting! Although i'm very lucky to have access for a digger!!
Loving it so far, good luck and great to see a father and daughter taking on a project together.

@@GeoMur-Fishing-LomondKoi Thanks, it'll get done come hell or high water! Changed employer a few months back, better money and more time off. Means I can finally devote some time to my own projects and have the cash for the job. Gonna be a long and expensive project - as you are very much aware Koi ponds of any size aren't cheap lol. Mine's going to be around 14.5 thousand litres but I'm very lucky to have contacts and family in the Koi trade.
Again, good luck, and great progress.

@@GeoMur-Fishing-LomondKoi Absolutely agree, it's a big pond. But I've wanted my own pond since before my teens, my eldest brother built his first pond in the early 90's. He ended up in the Japanese Koi trade and I've never had the opportunity to build MY POND, MY WAY, always built what the customer wanted - which is obviously the way it should be. Now I have an opportunity to build THE pond I want that's what I'm doing.
There isn't a time frame and there isn't a budget (although I'm frugal and have a lot of time proven faith in traditional multi bay filters so this isn't a throw money at it project)
And after all, have you ever heard anyone say "I wish I'd built a smaller pond"
