Hi Brian. That was the 10ft Util rod from SCR, you should see how far the 13ft versions can launch a 5oz lead lol
The difference in long distance carp rods and the fairly recent increase in beach rod length is moving the look of the rods closer to each other.
I agree, the conti rods are much more similar to a traditional 13ft carp rod than previous beachcasters and multipliers.
Just out of interest what is the action / test curve of the rod what weight you casting? Cheers
