Wow very encouraging story. I also achieved my first degree when I was 50 . Age is in the mind and should not be a hindarance to achieve any goal . Trusting God is the key. I pray that she lands a beautiful job cos she is a role model to both young n old.
Its really sad that Kenya puts age restrictions for job applicants. I'm in America and its illegal to put age restrictions, as long as you're qualified, you'll get the job. 35 is way too young, how do they expect people over 35 to earn a living?
True. However Kenya has a challenge with a huge young employed population most with same and more qualifications as she has. Add to the fact that companies want to spend least in employment so prefer a younger person who they can 'mould' and pay quite low. Remember the companies has options to choose from so many young people! Then, medical insurance is a big issue when you're older. Teaching and lecturing is a possibility but even there for different levels, requirements differ and almost always there is an age cap. Interestingly, of she was majuu, before long, she'd be doing well. At least there they value effort and initiative.
