SubhanAllah. This is a good for reflection and very useful knowledge. Thank you for sharing bothers. May Allah reward your effort and intention. Keep 'em comin'.
When sh. Ammar said one of my favourite poets, I did NOT expect him to say Abu Nuwas lol. I like his way with words too. But I'm a bit confused - doesn't acceptance of his verses imply that Allah forgives all no matter what, in the same way as sufi poets like kharaqani interpreted الرحمن الرحيم ?
Alhamdulillah the series is very beautifully done and helpful for reflection. However, I have a issue with many of the speakers/sheikhs...the beard. The Prophet (saw) said "grow your beard and trim your moustache" yet I see most of our learned speakers are cutting or even shaving their beard. I really would like someone to explain this to me. Is it ok for a man to cut his beard inspite of the hadith of the Prophet (saw). I see many speakers/presenters on Islamic channels with clean face or an overnight shadow they call a beard. How can I take my religion from these sheikhs when they are ignoring the command of the prophet, hence the command Allah. As we all know the Prophet (saw) did not speak of his own but by Wahy from Allah.
it's not compulsory in most of the popular Mazhabs, _despite_ the Hadith. Deriving rulings from the Quran and Hadiths isn't as simple as simply reading them. We do have sciences as Usool al-Fiqh and Usool al-Hadith amidst others to help us derive a proper understanding of these Ahadith. When confronted with these apparent contradictions, it's always best to inquire with proficient scholars on how to deal with them.
Peace struck my heart with the words"and you know the one who has withheld it from you is Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem".
