The thing that annoys me about helis is that the most effective way to use them is to just sit there and spam missiles

I don't have much experience with helos (I literally have one handicapped Huey, or as War thunder calls it Hiyodori) but that little experience told me something: I can't use Mighty Mouse. And the rest of the game showed me that even an AIM-9B is falling into that category alongside every unguided missiles an munitions, though I start to get better with bombs eventhough I never wanted to be a tipical CAS player. But one or two extra kills are very needed to me because my average kill is 3 in Ground RB and usually it takes 4 lives to get those because I'm bad at the game. Sadly, my teammates are somehow worse even on 7.3 BR (just don't know how they die once or twice with no kills and then leave with less than 200 points)

I've missed your videos! Glad you're back, hope the move went well. I have many hours in WT helicopters and I could write pages about their issues, but my two biggest ones: collision with objects that don't render until its too late, and console auto-track - some fker in a Duster playing on Xbox can follow me behind an entire mountain and get a perfect shot off blind through layers of trees. Console auto-track isn't so bad in aircraft where you can change your vector or heavy bombers at high alt, but it really screws helis - I wish I could only matchmake against PC players.

Helis are unbalanced, because the maps don't allow for good tactical mobility. The vietnam map for example should have way more tree cover.
