I purchased this Mic off of amazon for 49 bucks. I am not getting the radio interference when my cell phone is close too or right on top of this mic. I am getting goo clean audio. This is an excellent mic.
couple things, the ringing wen you tap it is the body tube ringing, not uncommon in the bigger cases like that. I use tape or super thin foam to stop this on the inside of the case (really easy to disassemble. also, you CAN trigger the ring w the voice, so it def will come through if 'triggered'. the iPhone interference also happens quite often, esp w 5g/lte. it happened a lot w 3g then 4g stopped it. it even happens around hardware equipment. since singers or speakers use their phones to read lyrics while recording (holding close to the mic within eyeliners) it will be more frequent
Great review! I'm looking for a mic that would be good for podcasts but with good background noise reduction within the budget of £100-£150 any recommendations? Especially anything with a nice broadcasty feel.
Rode stuff usually has a nice broadcast frequency response (nice low and high bump) but I've never tried their lower priced mic such as the PodMic. Might be worth a listen on other reviews --- geni.us/pdmic (affiliate link) --- This is well within your budget.
@@tdcattech Thank you i decided to go with the rode mini and just got it, it's really good so far and thanks for the reviews it really helped me to decide what to get.
Warm audio started 512 audio to sell rebranded chinese products. Not so great, and no wonder that now this mic goes for 50 bucks. at that price, it could be a good addition due to decent sound, but at 200? Nah.

The microphone’s price is $50 on Amazon, but it IS worth it. It records very nicely and sounds very professional

I had no idea a pop filter was supposed to be called a shock mount this whole time
I assume you’re highlighting an error I made here? Hard to tell on comments 😃
@@tdcattech Yeah lol, when you first showed us the pop filter, ya called it a shock mount 🤣
