I'd love to hear from the character creator of Abigail, the reasoning of giving him that name. (If he's still with us), Abigail was first featured in final fight way back in 1989
As per my understanding it was a female capcom employee that named all the mad gear tugh's. She was a rock fanatic that's why the names like Sodom, Poison, Axel, Slash, Roxy (Roxy Music). The face paint it is a King Diamond Tribute (check the original game sprite) and his name came from the album Abigail. Thats the legend.
Some parents just give their kids feminine names. Look at comedian Tracy Morgan. I guess Abigail overcompensated by lifting weights, taking steroids and growth hormones and living the thug life.
