The stages vs steps idea was a moment of clarity for me. Its almost like meta-orchestration, where you imagine combining a series of DAGs into one complete business process with a human in the loop.
This idea of an Entity Workflow (discussed at 9:00 and 1:05:00) is so cool. I hope my organization can look at Temporal for license provisioning. These things are long-lived processes that may involve payments, identity, compliance. But they are also living entities that customers can interact with via Signals and Queries.
Really insightful conversation! I liked the format in which you allowed the community to actually speak their word in a group scenario, rather than in a private one-to-one conversation. We feel listened to, and well nurtured :) Also, and as a side note, I felt that the volume of the video was too low; I understood everything, but I had to max out the volume of my headphones. This in an intellectual gold mine, keep up the amazing work! :)
