I'm a manager at a Buick store and I'd give anything for Buick to add a 2 door car to the line up. Gotta be a v8 though!

This is frickin awesome! I wish GM and Buick would take a hint from this model, they could really have something. The sides, rear fenders and rear to me has a '68 Camaro SS type feel which I really like alot. The other Buick I would REALLY like to see come back into production would be the Buick Grand National with a twin turbo setup. Those things were mean even stock! Id love to see what they could come up with now for their design.

Looks pretty nice to me! I used to have a 1970 Skylark, custom I think, if that was an available trim option, I can't remember. It was a two door ht rootbeer brown with a dark brown or black vinyl top? 350 with a 350 trans. All I did to it was put some Cragar wheels on it and some headers, it was a fun car back in the late 70's!

I had a 1970 skylark custom, not a GS but 350 4 barrel turbohydromatic which was powerful enough. Sure would buy new one if possible.

I'll always consider a Buick when I buy a car. My Grand parents drove a Buick for 20 years, and the damn thing was extremely comfortable, had great acceleration, and NEVER broke until my uncle drove it. If you can take care of them, they take care of you, and you look and feel great doing it.
Wow! By far the best design I've seen since the late 60's to early 70's with regard to the muscle car era.
Very beautiful, finally a remake that looks amazing.
The swooping crease from the front clip to the base of the rear wheel is reminiscent of the 1968 Skylark Custom I had, it was a convertible with a 350 in it. That car was very nice. I miss the times when the GM brands had enough variety, now they are more cookie cutter. This looks like it based on the Camaro platform, the front clip and fenders are to busy.
My homie had a Skylark convertible too. It was very nice. I called it the Larkness monster!
I wished the grill was like the seventies but a more compact and more like a shelf having a classy sexy look the back end is little too boxy like the camaro I was not a fan of 69 buick make the side crease go a cross more straight but not exactly straight change the front air damage with a aluminum with an old fashioned chrome bumper.
I had a 64 Skylark and boy was it fast and fun...in the 70's!
YES! Bought a new 1985 Skylark, would decisively, unhesitantly buy again. 85 not the best looking model, but certainly long lasting, 12 years later, a good looking, great running 200k mile car.
That's a sharp design from all angles. Looks like a 1st generation camaro in many ways

I believe many would be interested in buying one. The only issue is the same one that always pops up: the car manufacturer would overprice it and the dealers would mark it up to the point that just about everyone would lose interest.

I guess I like the original one and 64 65, the rendering I originally wondered about the angle of the fender , how it dives in but then the more I looked at it the more I like the aggressive look of it.

There is not enuf words to describe this car. Gorgeous, stunning, muscular and just flat out athrowback to the 60's n 70''s muscular Era but with today's very modern lines. GM n Buick needs to step n hire this designer n get this car into production. Hot rod car enthusiats that luv the dodge hellecats or mustangs would go crazy over this car.
As a former GM worker, there's a lot of things they should have done right, but this here would be perfect for the market.

I’d be interested in this Skylark in a V-8 or a 6 cylinder. I will never consider anything with a 4-cylinder rubber band. I’ve had dozens of new Chevrolets in my life, the last new car was a 09 Sonata, my first foreign car, and it was high quality.

The funny thing about it it looks like a 68 - 70 Dodge Charger especially in the rear quite a 5.7 l a 6.0 liter go back to the 700 R4 Transmission I would buy one in a heartbeat that's the prettiest Buick I've seen in 50 years

well yeah. The Alpha chassis does the Camaro and some Cadillacs, but those aren't really direct challenger/300 competitors (oddly enough). The Camaro is too tight for that in terms of interior and handling (cough, it's better lol), and the Cadillacs are a price tier above and not retro at all with a completely different appeal. A Buick mash up of those parts with loudly retro styling, a softer than Camaro suspension and unique touches on the interior would be a hit for sure. It's also basically a freebie since they are at the end of that chassis' product cycle right?

I would ABSOLUTELY buy one if they looked like this and had a V8. I love how this looks and it's quite possible that it becomes my favorite car. However, if it's hybrid or full electric, I'M OUT! I wouldn't be able to jump ship fast enough.
Unfortunately as Tech at Buick it’s highly unlikely for GM to come out with another V8 in Buick. Unfortunately with all the competitive brands making V8s it’s hard for a company like Buick to “bounce back in the muscle car scene when most Americans see Buicks as a 50 and older vehicle which most of are customers are

I would only go for it if a. it is purely a V8 car, b. if there is no hybrid idiocy is under the hood, c. it is fully customizable, d. if they actually make the thing, e. if the design is a good one, f. if they revive Holden, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac, g.if they have the Wildcat, Tempest, T-37, GSX Stage 1, GSX Stage 2, GSX Stage 3, and GSX Stage 4 options that are also available, and h. they also have the Holden Monaro, Holden Monaro GT, Holden Monaro GTS, Oldsmobile Cutlass, Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Oldsmobile Cutlass S, Oldsmobile Cutlass Hurst Edition, Oldsmobile 440, Pontiac GTO, Pontiac GTO The Judge, Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Chevelle, Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Chevrolet Chevelle SS LSXX, and station wagon/estate car/shooting brake versions of each vehicle that were available, otherwise, nope, sorry.

However most manufacturers always sell something a lot less than what they advertise. The looks and or performance.
I'm sure it will come out with a 1.6 L gas engine, fuel cell and lipo batteries to make it green, and fwd for the budlight sales team.

Just like when the challenger came back, it was too much broad height.
It has a bloated look. Just a couple more inches from the bottom will make it look better and have a little more clearance.

@clyde7059 just having that large V8 will take a lot of people out of the mix. There needs to be other motors offered to keep more people in the loop. I do agree that one of the motors should be the 6.2 L engine.
