Solid choice IMO, I think 180's are perfect for 600's keeps them nimble back and forth but everyone has a preference. I would say a litre bike 190 for sure or 200 which is what I run on my RSV4.
Carlos Dias I enjoy a 190 very much personally. A 180 is alright but the 190 has grown tremendously on me. I even use a 190 on my Aprilia RSV4 because it just makes it a little more effortless to dip in since stock rear is a 200 on those bikes. It would be different on a massive track with big swooping corners over backroad twisties. For my 600RR it is nice having a bit extra rubber to give a little more room for error. Just a cunt hair extra rubber can make a difference. I would say my preference has changed since making this video
@@TubeSocksMalone I’m happy I read this comment!!! I need a new back tire and my Cbr600rr has a 190/55/17 on it which I’m used to so I’m worried if I go to a 180 ima feel not as stable! Your opinion means a lot bro
Yeah with a taller profile it would. I switched my RSV4 RF from 200 to 190 for the streets because it turns a little quicker. I prefer 180’s on 600’s but really depends on the profile of the tire I find. Some are more aggressive than others and drop into corners faster. The tires I had in my 600RR weren’t a great fit for 190’s. Not an aggressive tire to begin with.
I was told to go bigger on my R3 to get more rubber on the road which I may do because I am edge to edge now and I am not even close to rubbing pegs on the ground. Things to think about for sure. It wouldn't be that much more but more rubber for sure. Thanks for making this video my friend and I miss the old intro too. Your videos just seems different now from not having the intro with that music. I guess watched to many of your videos lol.
+Rhino Dan lol thanks yeah I'm in the midst of trying to make a new intro I personally liked it too. Yeah a bit bigger normally is fine especially on the R3 idk what the tire size is stock but my buddies Ninja 300 is 140/70 I think so it would be good to go up a bit I know many for mine either do 180/55 stock size or 190/55 so slightly taller side wall so mine having a 190/50 it has a wider flatter surface because shorter sidewall. 190/55 would have been a better choice over the 190/50 for how i like to ride it would give it a taller profile with a wider tire and has more of an aggressive profile over a flatter one. The tires I have seem more for highway than cornering. 180/55 is probably what I'll end up getting again I could be persuaded for 190/55 but never again a 190/50 lmao.
+Rhino Dan I know that Ari guy from motorcyclemagazine channel has I believe 190/55 or 190/60 on his KTM RC390 his stock bike is like 160/??. Motogp uses 190/60 so they have a wide tire and taller so they can corner better more tire on the side for contact shorter the side wall flatter the tire.
You will loose some power if you go to a bigger size, especially on a R3. When I tracked my ninja 300 I tried going bigger and it wasn't worth it mostly because I didn't want to stay with that bike forever and spend money on suspension to make it worth my time. Stay with the stock size and go with Bstones S20 evo is what I recommend, or the michellin power rs. Screw pirelli. Great tire for the first 500 miles then shit. S20 evo's last longer and gripped amazingly. I upgraded to a gsxr 750 and used the s20 evo then the S21. Only tire I really prefer for cornering.
You're saying you can feel a difference between 190 and a 180 I mean if you can feel a difference between 5mm of rubber more power to you but. Personally I've run 180s and 190s and couldn't tell you a difference.
You can feel a differerence on how it turns into a corner. Ride a bike through the twisties and of one of you buddies has the same bike woth different size ride it immediatly after you will feel it turn in quicker. Its not the 5mm of rubber you can feel its the shape of the tire 190 has a wider profile in the middle compared to a 180.
As well you can feel a difference between a 190 and a 200 which is what I also run on my RSV4 RF. I like the 200 because it has a larger contact patch in the middle of the tire and you can get a slight more lean out of it but the 190 compared to a 200 turns into a turn quicker due to the profile of the tire
If you really want you could swing a 170 but going to a 190 is iffy as it’s far from being designed to handle that tire properly. The geometry would be off and handling would turn to crud. That and it would barely fit if at all then you would have your suspension to deal with.
Big Joe You mean 200? They don’t make supersport and superbike tires at 210. I used to use a 200 as it came stock on my RSV4 but now I use a 190 and a 190 also on my 600RR. Whatever tire you’re using it’s not made for sportbikes like a 600 or 1000 so I don’t think you’re helping yourself of some how you found a 210 because even MotoGP use a 200. Anything over 200 is usually put on a Harley and useless on a sportbike let alone a 600. Racers use either a 190 on 600’s. Anything bigger would be for a Harley or maybe a Busa for dragging but that’s really it. No one in their right mind would put a 200 and larger on a 600CC.
I have a 190 on my cbr but I also have a different tires with different tred on the front I get a wobble feeling at high speed. Could it be down to tires or somthing else?
Hussin Oras I wouldn’t. I would t go any bigger than let’s say a 170 for a rear on your bike. Any bigger they could fold in too much on your size rims or risk rubbing too much. Your bike calls for stock 160/70 or 160/60 I believe. Can’t remember exactly while typing this.
Mohamad riduan Buang when it comes to getting knee down it’s not more so about how far your bike is getting leaned over and tires as it is more proper body position. I know a guy who can drag elbow on a Harley and those don’t lean as far over. Go check out MotoJitzu on TH-cam too the guy is an instructor and phenomenal 👌
Kaylin I have an RSV4 RF that comes stock with a 200. I went to a 190. 200 is great for long swooping corners but when it’s corner after corner back and fourth a 190 kicks a 200’s ass. Much faster to bank back and fourth and drops into a corner much faster. A 200 is nice for long big corners where it’s not corner after corner like in the twisties or a track with more corners and less straights.
Just went to a 180 from a 190 and my people PLEASE STAY WITH STOCK TIRE it leans so much more and feels way lighter and easier to manage in turns
190/55 👍
190/50 better for drag racing.
Thanks for the advise sticking to my 180's

190 is better for racing going straight or drag racing, more contact patch for grip.
I always used 190 on my r6 and I never want go back to 180 in my opinion 190 is the best

Do you use a 50 or a 55 on your 190?

I appreciate this update.
190/55 are amazing I lean so quick on twisted roads I recommend 55 instead of 50

I also prefer the 190/55 always have, thats just my opinion I feel more comfortable leant over.
190 seems safer for daily riding .. am I wrong ?

MotorBike Mike That's nuts that the rc390 can use tires that big.
I rode a rc390 it's a good bike I am not a single cylinder guy.

Yes stick with 180. I bought my r6 couple day now, and it has on 190. it so difficult to turn on tight turn

Can you put 190/55 on a ninja 650? Just got the 2022 and it comes with 160 stock...thinking about getting bigger rear.

I use 190/50 on my Cbr600rr and I love it
Jpoll that’s what am about to grab right now I got 180/55 did u like the difference with the 190/50 ? Lmk
I do like the different buddy u will definitely feel the rear tire more on ur bike
Jpoll i used 210/50 on my cbr600

MotoBike Mike yeah wrong pick
I have a 190 on my cbr but I also have a different tires with different tred on the front I get a wobble feeling at high speed. Could it be down to tires or somthing else?
The front tire probably needs to be rebalanced. Good chance anyway if you’re get a wobble at high speed or wheel bearings
Can I put a 190/55 on a mt07 Yamaha ?
thx so much
I just bought new tires Dunlop q3 plus and back is 180
Should have put a 190 55 17 instead of 190 50 17
Would a 200 fit a stock 600 wheel?
Can i use tire size 190/50 for honda cbr f2 600?????

@@TubeSocksMalone thank you my bro 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
180 are always better on a 600 or 750...
My rear 180/55 and i the tyre max lean limit but yet unable to get my knee down on mt09.
