I’m a bit envious that you live on the west side of the state. You’ve got such great hiking and backpacking options! Thanks for taking us on a lesser known one… Oftentimes those are my favorites! Happy trails!
@@tridudyonthetrail I was going to head north today. Day hilke a section of the NCT. Buty wife needed my car for work. She is having car trouble. So I ended up doing something within walking distance of home.
A lovely introduction to hiking for someone considering being a regular hiker. There's just something about being outdoors in the woods where a human can find healing, or a reset, or determination. Awesome share.
@@midlifetravelers6151I was supposed to go up north and do a section of the NCT today. But my wife had car issues. So she needed mine for work. So I am doing something local today. Walking distance from home.
How long have you had your channel? I have had mine over a year. I am having trouble getting and keeping subs. 95 percent of my viewers are not subscribed.
@@robertmattice2588NeverTooOld my intention is not to grow my channel. I think the reason I have as many subs as I do is because I once had aspirations of thru hiking the AT in 2020. And some how I acquired interested viewers. Unfortunately, I quit but some how still kept the subscribers. They probably have not unsubscribed to my content but merely bypass it when I come up in their notifications. I refuse to use my channel content as "click bait" just to get views. Keep doing what you are doing. I would say however, that when you post a video, post it to your Facebook to draw attention. My husband does this for me as I do not have an FB account. Hope that helps.
I have been posting to Facebook. But my account was hacked 2 weeks ago. So I had to start a new one. Most of my groups I was in will not accept my account until I have it for at least 6 months. So that slows things down. But thanks for the advice. Keep it up.@@midlifetravelers6151
@@carolyndice2425 The NCT has a lot of nice short sections. Just find a trailhead and do a short out and back. Otherwise there are a ton of short trails. I would suggest getting the All Trails app.

I love these short little hikes videos. I am old and the NCT seems daunting for me to undertake….

Do you ever have any Tick problems walking the woods...
