Abbie, I love what you are doing. Could you please do a video on this topic? The Pregnant Woman trope in the horror genre, such as: Women getting impregnated by aliens. Women turning into bloated hives for alien reproduction. A woman giving birth to a demonic child. A woman carrying a baby for an evil cult. Even men getting impregnated by an otherworldly seductress. Misogynist, sexist, rape culture, shock horror or just pushing a fear of aliens and demons? Is it empowering to have a betrayed woman turning into an alien mother, only to kill those who wronged her? How would you write her character?
I'm writing about a basically good and well-intentioned person who aspires to doing great things, but who makes an honest mistake which indirectly causes a gigantic intergalactic war and whom history ultimately remembers as one of the most horrific villains of all time.
I want someone to write a book about the Narrator being trapped in their book and having to lead a revolution against their own antagonist. Edit* Even better, the story is in a different perspective and at the end the narrator stumbles into the protag, tells the them a bunch of things that no one should know about the character and then the narrator proceeds to ask for help without explaining anything else.
There was no better time for recommending this... I'm in Iran and there's a revolution going on in here and the whole hell will break loose tomorrow. For freedom ✌️
Ijust have to say a huge thank you to you Abbie for all of the character writing videos. I used tons of tips(on how to write an unforgettable villain) in my story I had to submit for a course. And my teacher just got back to me and said that she is in love with the villain. She said "Although the villain has appeared only a few times, I can feel that he will be making more appearances in the coming chapters" So THANK YOU so much! ❤️❤️
'We have lead you all to the capital! We will kill the king as we have suffered long enough! We will take over the government and make our own rules! This isnt just a protest people, it is a revolution!', said a girl. People cheered her on. 'Storm the palace!', she yelled. People began running and the guards were struggling. They kept pushing and eventually came through. The big palace doors were locked. 'Get out of my way!', a man said. He had a big branch with him. 'Three, two, one!', he yelled and he broke through the doors. 'What are we going to do, my love?', the queen asked. 'We will give them what they want.', he said to her. There was banging at their bedroom door. 'Open it.', the king said to the guard. the guard nodded and opened the door. The revolutionaries stormed in and stabbed the king and queen. 'WE'RE IN CHARGE!', the girl shouted at the crowd below. They all cheered. They've won.. won the war that made them all suffer..
This fits soooo perfectly. I'm writing about a superhero daughter who is born among her famous parents. She wants to break out of the cameras and remake her own suit. Using the night as her gateway to serenity. 4:59
Ooo this is cool...I'm writing one where the MC's parents are the #1 heros and so she goes to hero school but eventually becomes the biggest villan because of how corrupt the hero society is

Not writing a Dystopian, but a Historical Fiction centered around a (Fictional, but inspired by real) resistance in Nazi Germany. One of the protagonists is Jewish and has managed to escape a camp, and is in scene I just wrote in Switzerland, but staring across the lake (The Border between Germany and Switzerland goes through this lake, real lake btw) and thinking about what's happening to his people and wanting desperately to do something about it. they (Him and side characters) form the resistance group at the end of this book.
You know, it's funny. I'm currently in the processes of writing a story that totally flips the typical dystopian story, in which the good guy is an elite officer for the authoritarian state and the plain-Jane YA dystopian protagonist and her two potential love interests are the villains.
"What- what are they?" I stammer, my eyes wide, unable to look away from the bloody mass of flesh and machinery that lay still across the pavement. "Humans." She replied, her cat-like eyes shifting to the ground. "Or, they used to be." - an extract from the novel I am working on

This music list is definitely something I'm gonna listen to nonstop while writing my science fiction book I've started. Some of the songs will be helpful with writing the battle sequences in it, so thank you for uploading it, Abbie.

*LOL I HAVENT DONE THIS IN FOREVER AND THE VIDEOS OLD BUT* Wind billowed through the air, a hand reaching up to catch the drift; Sun down was coming, the time was near. A pleased laugh escaped the lips of a soft faced girl, running and dancing down the hill, her arms were wide. Like the wind was carrying her forward. “Are you just gonna stand there, or are we doing this?” She called, turning fully around to face him, hand resting on her head to keep her long hair from her face. A mutant, with multiple arms she was, but a caring heart she held in a chest blossoming with love. The man tossed a smile, jagged yellow teeth on display, an undead wanderer set to follow her. He chased, his own long hair drifting behind him. “Always.” He yelled. His green skin glinted in the glowering sun; his heart raced, smile stuck. She laughed, spinning in a circle as a rabbit faced man flew directly by her, his wings held the air as he grounded just afront her. “You guys sure are cheery.” He commented, dust coming from where his wings just were. The undead caught up, “We will finally be free.” And free they would be. Three shadows, different in every way soared down the hill, towards victory. Years have come and went, plans have changed, but they are finally coming to the end of their journey. Finally they were going to end the sorrow they've faced since being challenged. They would end this here and now, guards awaited them, shimmering in whites and golds, armour heavy and solid. The undead took this as another challenge and charged forward. Arms glued to his sides, body shaped like a rocket as he forced them to their knees. Underestimating them would be their final mistake, they were not to be judged, they were judgement now. Their lives would be the revolution, they would lay themselves on the line for their family and loved ones. All found, none by blood. All forced to be monsters in the light. Forced to be outcasts. “ARRHHH” He cried, offering no mercy to the ones who chose to harm them. Mercy was a gift, one they did not deserve. The soft girl threw the gates open, she was a princess once and a princess always she’d take back the life she had stolen from her. Wind poured out, cascading over her, she only growled in determination coursing through her veins. She cried out as she pulled it fully open, gasping out as the air was pulled from her lungs. “AHHHHHHH-” She huffed, her arms shaking. The rabbit faced man soared forward, launching past her, almost knocking her over from the force. He destroyed the first man that came forward, obliterating him with the force of his body. With swift movement, he had taken care of the last guards near them. A limping princess, an enraged commoner and a stoic ex guard stood next to eachother. The caste looming over them like a taunt. This was their fate, the honor of their people, the weight of everyone on their shoulders. This was their fate. *These are my original characters*
Hello Abbie!! I’m currently 15 years old and always been obsessing over books and authors’ writing, hoping to one day publish my own book. I’ve been watching your videos nonstop (and plan to be on your writing retreat tomorrow!) but I was hoping you could make a video on how to officially end a novel? I’ve been writing for about 5 and a half months now at approximately 80k works for my fantasy novel, but I tend to be writing at an extremely lower pace than when I started and I neeeed to finish the book by the end of June, however, I’m honestly not too sure where to with the end and how to piece the puzzles together! (It’s currently as if I was piecing together a puzzle blindfolded, I just can’t see what I’m doing and how it effects everything until I write it. I’m also very visual, so I tend to struggle with writing whereas I can’t see or understand what needs to happen until I actually write it/see it in movie/tv shows. Thank you sooo much with this and your channel, it really helps me and a ton of younger authors! I really hope you see this too, it honestly would make my day :)
@@fandomsforever5766 thank you so much! I finished it that day actually but I haven’t really edited it much since nor have I even read it! I’m currently in a bit of a reading slump… :)
Everbody has great ideas! For my side, me and my sister are writing stories, we just have the idea and are going on, im trying to write a story where im the self-aware villain fighting the heroes, i like to think that the heroes are gonna make not just a revolution, a civil war and many things as side effects. It's going too slow, but it's fun.
I was writing a scene in my war story where bombs were being dropped. Every time one hit the music exploded too. Was a gutwrenching scene but oh my gosh...with the music...it was soooo much fun to write. 😂😂😂
Most come here for the fantasy but me and my friends are listening to this right now, we're going outside tonight to riot!!! Thanks for the playlist I wish one day we could enjoy this genre as an escapist fantasy but for us it's a very uncool reality.
lol i use this playlist when washing dishes really good at taking your mind of what your doing i love your playlists you get to really dive into your imagination with the right mood
I love this playlist. I love your writing videos ❤️ Could you make a playlist about : A bad guy, who struggles with darkness, he's not quite the super evil one villain. He is very close to be one. Something will happen, after which he will think about changing his path. Will he ? Would be great. Thanks 😉
This playlist reminded me of Hunger Games... Mockingjay (the book) and Pt 2 (the movie) might not have been great, but the last few chapters and scenes are some of the best moments in literature/cinema imo. I also love 1984, but that does not have a great ending which this playlist inspires. Edit: "Oh, my dear Miss Everdeen, I thought we agreed never to lie to each other."
I think you may need to dedicate a video to your musical journey and influences. Your tastes are well off the beaten path and sonic explorers tend to have interesting stories to show how they got there.
Hey, Abbie. I am currently working on a book. I have everything in my mind, how the secret will reveal, its foreshadowing basically I have a summary in my mind. But now, I don't know how to write it in chapters.
My recommended list has "your hero is falling in love with the villain" and right below is "your villain is plotting revenge on the hero," and they were made a year apart. I can't help but think, what happened between the hero and the villain that would make the villain plot the hero's death after the hero had fallen for them?

Aww thank you! Ironically, I have almost 100k words now at 7 months (should have it by the 15th!) :)
Hoping to finish in a week or two!
@@AyrisMoon Its so cool that you write! I'm 14 and I'm working on a few books of my own. Good luck with your writing!
@@fandomsforever5766 thank you so much! I finished it that day actually but I haven’t really edited it much since nor have I even read it! I’m currently in a bit of a reading slump… :)
@@AyrisMoon How is it going??
This has piqued my curiosity! If you're keen for more, I highly recommend a book with a similar orientation. "Sunrise Rebellion" by Olivia Whitestone
One of my absolute favorites to write to.
I LOVEE THISSS THANKKSS ❤️❤️❤️❤️
this is the workout playlist I didn’t know I needed 🎉
This is perfect for the story in writing!!
I AM A YOUNG WRIGHTER WHO HAS THE SAME PLOT AND THIS IS WHAT I NEED TO GET IN THE MINDSET
I listen to this Playlist when I'm writing. Great selection!
Awesome!! I'm so happy 😁
Thanks for the playlist
I wish one day we could enjoy this genre as an escapist fantasy but for us it's a very uncool reality.
btw I wouldn't call where I live a dystopia, it's very depressing and boring. I would love to be in a dystopian setting of course
lol i use this playlist when washing dishes really good at taking your mind of what your doing i love your playlists you get to really dive into your imagination with the right mood
i really love this playlist, Abbie! Very fitted to the post-apocalyptic graphicnovel that I'm making❤❤❤❤❤❤ (saved and plays on a loop)
This music fucking slaps. I have a long list of writing music. Looking forward to attending the writing live streams in June🤘🏻(edit for typos)
please sure it with me. sometimes I would love my ears to be plugged in as I write.
The fact that the moment I finish reading the hunger games, this appears on my feed
I love this playlist. I love your writing videos ❤️
Could you make a playlist about :
A bad guy, who struggles with darkness, he's not quite the super evil one villain. He is very close to be one. Something will happen, after which he will think about changing his path. Will he ?
Would be great. Thanks 😉
this playlist really helps me with my book. thank you 🥰
Abbie emmons?!!!? I didnt know you do playlists??!!!? Omigoof!!!
As the team grows and the advanced alien weaponry comes to fruition....
Who will make war.....
Him
This is giving me maze runner vibes it's literally making me feel like I'm in maze runner
I'm not writing a dystopia, but this is perfect for fight scenes! Especially cuz I have some pretty sweet fight scenes
Its sad that so much fictional dystopian tropes are just the reality of corporate america
I love all of these songs so much!
I'm in love with this playlist
Nah this sets me in the mood of continuing writing down a roleplay into a bloody story
This playlist makes me wanna start a revolution for some reason and I dunno it sounds fun
My recommended list has "your hero is falling in love with the villain" and right below is "your villain is plotting revenge on the hero," and they were made a year apart.
I can't help but think, what happened between the hero and the villain that would make the villain plot the hero's death after the hero had fallen for them?
the villain is plotting revenge on the hero because the hero cheated on them.
