Hello Sharon, I would like to speak to you about hair care, I have been a license cosmetologists since 1961, I worked behind the salon chair for 56 years, 1. Dark and Lovely relaxer, is bad for the hair, it has calcium hydroxide in the relaxer, check the warning on the box, once the hair bonds soften, the calcium base get into the shaft of the hair, and cause hardness and dryness, hydroxide is still lye. Professional relaxed is better, sodium hydroxide is better for the hair and it's a professional product. I would be thrill to talk and help you, License 1961- 2023, I would love to send you, my information, in in the USA but live to educate you about , the girls and your hair. Moisturize shampoo for all of yall hair, and moisture condition for the hair. I hope you read, this I would like to help you, I would to help, thank you for reading this , God bless.
Hey Nina So I use The Olive oil relaxer. I'm guessing thats the same right.? And yes Virginia at the salon did tell me off a little. And advised for me to come to her to get it done professionally if I want to carry on relaving my hair. At this rate I'm not sure if I want to carry on relaxing my hair. But we can connect if you send me an email to dmoworld111@gmail.com That's for that information you provided I really do appreciate it ❤❤❤
Facts! I have over 30 yrs experience… Dark and Lovely is marketed as professional but it’s one of the most harsh products for black hair! Never liked or recommend it to anyone.. people came in crying for help after it damaged their hair…Delt with anemia for years be careful get help because it sent me into a state of depression… just feeling weak and exhausted all the time.. take care …
Self care is important. It’s amazing how pregnancy can really affect your health. I think seeing a professional right now is the best thing you can do right now. Tommy I love how supportive you are. Continue to be positive and encouraging as she gets through this. Sharon, stay positive and hopeful. This too shall pass ❤❤
Yes Sharon, your hair looks great. This bob style is on the Amusement Park intro. Women of color- our hair is usually dry & takes longer to grow. Keep it moisturized. I'm much older in age and thru heredity, my hair is also thining on top. Stress & improper care will do that.
2024, I like Sharon! I do not want to say anything that will hurt her. I do not like the way that woman cut her hair. Sharon has an attractive face so she can wear any style. I feel the beautician could have done better.
Cheer up, Sharon. I have had the same issue before, so I know how you feel right now. It gets better, I promise. You look beautiful and she did a fantastic job on your hair.
@@dmoworld it does look healthier and I’m so glad that you like it. I know that you feel more confident, now that you have had your consultation and hair done. I’m here for it. Love, from Georgia 🇺🇸
Sharon, you're beautiful, inside and out. You're a virtuous woman with lots of Godly wisdom and have a great personality. Tommy is blessed to have you as his wife and the mother of his children..God bless you and your family. 😇❤🙏
We can say it’s just hair but there’s something about everything about you changing after having children. Your body changes, hormones go wild and now hair falling out. It’s a lot. For me it’s that feeling of no longer recognising myself. We have to work double time just to feel like ourselves. You’ve got this sis 💛
Hey Sharon, I am an older woman and I started having that same problem 2 months ago and stress was a big factor but what I realized is that I don't wash the silk scarfs I just wrap my hair up. I prayed about it and come to find out that scarfs have dye in them , so its very important that we wash them before hand. I believe that was another reason why my hair start to shed. Also perms are not good for the hair it can become detrimental if you keep using it. A perm is like acid to the scalp... We are part of God's body and we must take care of every part of it 🙏🏾❤️
Oh wow didn't know that about the scarfs😮 that's crazy But yeah you're right, I've been torn between relaxing and going natural for a long long time. Being natural take time to nurture and learn about your hair texture but relaxing is so convenient. I think this year might be the year I go full natural
From personal experience, anemia affects so many aspects of health. It might also be part of the reason why some of your hair has thinned. You look beautiful and radiant in spite of it all!♥️Just try your best to implement the self care you spoke about in whatever ways possible. Love Tommy’s genuine appreciation and support of his wife.♥️
HI SHARON, I TOO USE TO RELAX MY HAIR IN THE 90'S WITH DARK AND LOVELY AND IT HAD MY HAIR GROWING LIKE CRAZY, PROBABLY BECAUSE I LOVED DOING MY HAIR BACK THEN, I KEPT IT WASHED AND GREASED WITH BLUE MAGIC HAIR GREASE, WHICH I STILL USE TILL THIS DAY. I DON'T PERM MY HAIR ANYMORE STOP DOING THAT IN THE LATE 90'S AS I NOTICED MY HAIR WASN'T GROWING WITH THE RELAXERS ANYMORE. I THREW AWAY ALL MY HEATED APPLIANCES AND STARTED BRAIDING MY HAIR (AND EVERYBODY ELSE'S) THE BRAIDS WERE MAKING MY HAIR LONGER AND THICKER. I STOP THE BRAIDS 2 YEARS AGO, AS I AGAIN NOTICED THAT MY HAIR STOPPED GROWING WITH THE BRAIDS. SO NOW I WEAR WIGS, MY HAIR IS BACK GROWING AGAIN AND I STILL USE BLUE MAGIC HAIR GREASE, I WASH MY HAIR EVERY MONTH AND IT GROWS😊
You can also take a supplement, eating healthier and drinking water I recently had to cut my hair as was thinner at the ends also have had hormonal changes . Also try scalp massages everyday. Good for the scalp and hair growth
Women understand what you're feeling. My hair was a hot mess during and after I had my daughter. I'm glad that you realized that it's important to take care of yourself. Our hair is usually the first indicator that our body is out of sync. We understand the tears 😢. Look up... your journey of self care has begun!!! ❤✌🏾
Hey Sharon, The anemia is probably what caused the shedding. Kudos on your hair journey. The bob turned out nice. I like the bounce;and how healthy it looks.
Yes, Sharon . . . I totally understand the low iron. Years ago, my iron level got so low my doctor requested a blood transfusion but I declined that, and, opted for 900mg of iron pills per day for 1 year. It worked and I haven’t been iron deficient since.👍🏽
Same thing happened to me. My hemoglobin went down to a 6, half of what it should be. I also refused a blood transfusion. I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids which caused heavy bleeding and severe anemia and take my iron faithfully now.
@@dmoworld No, I keep putting off the surgery because I'm scared 😩 I have private insurance so I'm going to see if I can have them removed at the London Clinic where Kate had her surgery.

You look gorgeous Sharon. Us mom's loose a little bit of our hair health behind our prioritizing our children, husbands, home and even work. Now that my hair is healthier but I have more time to take care of it because of the age of my family. I'm proud to see that you're taking care of yourself and you definitely caught a lot earlier than I caught mine so you're in the right hands.
Sharon, love the new hair style! My hair stylist is also from Dominican Republic , and they are some of the best 'hair stylists' ! Especially for women of color. Hair breakage, some balding spots, can be caused by so many things! Stress, medications, health issues , over perming, & not having proper care of the hair. I had the same issues and did some research that recommended trying 'Black Jamaican Caster Oil' , on the areas that are thinning or balding It is a little thick, so you don't need to use a lot. I will tell you I had some success. My hair is natural & thin, it didn't make it thicker, but in time you could see where the hair started to grow back. You have to have a routine and stay on top of it, to see if it works. You deserve to go monthly to the hair salon, treating yourself and I'm sure you're going to see a big difference. Blessed Sunday!

I don't know if you know this, but anaemia can also cause hair loss. I'm anaemic and I have had hair loss.

And how are you feeling now?
Check your Thyroid too. A pixie cut next time.
We're all the same.
You are not alone, a woman's hair, the Bible says A Woman's hair is her glory; so if my hair is not right I feel low also. 😢
yeesss. it is devasted at first for sure but thank God for amazing hairdressers
Sorry to disagree, Tommy, but I like Sharon's hair style. It shows her face more.
I can't fuss about hair. I just shave my head.
Sharon stop relaxing your hair with dark an lovely, it should be band, why they call it dark an lovely I will never know. I lost all my beautiful hair coz I use to use dark an lovely, my hair went sooo thin, I just about have a little bit left now an it's soooo short an thin. It'd very upsetting, everyone says I should wear a wig, but now I wear my natural thin hair although it is very upsetting
Thanks for the tip ❤️
