when a woman has a husband as supportive as Elijah, he can certainly say WE are pregnant!!! keep up the good work. WE (my awesome husband and i) are in the 3rd trimester too with baby #8!❤
I wrote this under another comment but putting here too, hoping you'll see it. For extra protein in oatmeal, you can stir in collagen peptide powder or other protein powder. In my oatmeal, I add unflavored collagen AND the chocolate Vital Protein collagen, it has stevia instead of sugar. And I add ground Flaxseed, nuts, chia seed, etc. The flax adds a lot of fiber as well as protein.
I just had my 4th in 4 years and had a fantastic 4th trimester by eating a very animal based diet. I know it's exhausting but I highly recommend it! I gained the least weight, was the least fatigued, and am so far feeling the best post partum (even though in only 6 days pp!). I did nearly no grains due to a gestational diabetes scare and felt AMAZING.
Thank you so much for mentioning the Bradley Method book! It’s been my favorite birth book so far and very practical! Both my sister and I just had natural births and felt very prepared! Our husbands also read/listened to it and that made a world of difference.

Maybe this will help? I lived off grid and ate a carnivore diet. My comfort was meat stock in the mornings 🥰 or just a hearty chicken soup. And the kids had that too since I didn’t want to cook extra and make more of a mess than was needed. So happy for your family ❤
Wow are you me? Low blood pressure is my main issue too. So freaky. But I am thankful I didn’t have preeclampsia. Swelled at the end. Did a high protein diet with this one and there is a major difference in energy levels and strength. Carbs really affect my blood pressure and I felt like I didn’t have a choice to cut a lot of them😂
As far as having babies in the winter.. have you ever looked into the Scandinavian outdoor winter naps for babies? I'm a big knitter and I see a lot of people knitting wool sleep suits for their babies to nap outside.. seems like a natural fit for you guys
It seems like you all think you need to publicly acknowledge and praise your spouses. I have no doubt you do that in your relationship. You seem so loving and kind toward each other. In some situations, it can seem over the top. I have an amazing husband and my husband and I are both careful not to talk negatively about each other. Mentioning this because I want you to know your viewers wouldn’t think less of you if you let a comment go by. ie, if Katie said she hasn’t been as focused on fitness this pregnancy, that would be a fine time to let a comment slide. It can seem less genuine if one person says they have a challenge or even a weakness in their life and the other is quick to disagree and say all the reasons that’s not true…just something I struggle with at times listening to your podcast. I’ve been a long time listener and plan on continuing to listen ❤
You guys may feel like you're having a normal conversation, but I'm learning SO much about areas of life from you both, not to mention just how you treat and speak to each other and are unified. I'm new to your channel, so maybe you've already done this, Katie, but have you considered making a cookbook of your recipes? During pregnancy, and otherwise? I'd buy in a heartbeat. I'm going to go back and watch older videos of your pregnancy meals that you mentioned!
Katie, I'm not sure if you have researched this but making sure you are in taking a GOOD salt full of minerals like Himalayan salt or celtic, should keep swelling down along with hydrating with water and a magnesium supplement.
I eat oatmeal every day and I’m 38 weeks pregnant. Blend eggs into the oatmeal. 3 cups oats, 6 cups water. Once cooked add 4-5 whipped eggs and whip really fast with fork until cooked in well. The kids don’t even notice. It helps my insulin a lot. I also eat 2-3 eggs after that as well.
There is undoubtedly a war on children. John MacArthur has written an excellent book "The War on Children" in which he describes how our culture is attacking children inside & outside the womb. Would you considering reading his book & discussing it on your podcast? I believe many of your followers would be interested because this topic has never been more relevant than at this time.
Do you guys live near family?? I just had my mum stay with us for two months, which was amazing! We just had our third child. My family lives 11 hours away, so I really miss not being near them and have that ‘village’ of family to help support and help when needed. I know us having 3 is very different to like 8 kids… haha but anyway.
Bigger babies sleep better too! I craved dairy with both babies so far; first was 10 lb 3 oz and second 8 lb 6 oz (more protein, oddly). Around 8-9 weeks each of them got to 6-8 hours at night and never looked back.
I've only had 3 babies, but they were all 2+ weeks late! Not fun.. super healthy and great pregnancies, but after a week over due, it gets stressful, after 2.. not good. They were 7lbs, though.. and clearly not over due, but ya those due dates can be tricky, early or late.. i think they just take what they need. Great video, appreciate the update. Yes it's getting cold! I'm in a house in the mountains in CDA and I'm cold haha you're tough!
How do you guys respond to people when they say ‘ you have your hands full’ I get that comment almost every week at church and when I go into the grocery store. Also if I go into the dr office or whatever. I don’t like the way people say it but know it’s not the time to have a deep talk about how I don’t feel like a victim. What did your parents say in response? Sometimes I just say I enjoy it and they’re a blessing but sometimes I just smile and say yes I do to be polite but don’t feel good about agreeing with them.
I'm honestly not sure that it's always meant in a negative way. Sometimes, I think people just want to acknowledge that you're doing a good job, but they're not sure how to say it. It's like people just want to have something to say, and it's what comes to mind... Usually, I get that comment with smiles, so I'm not sure. haha
I get that all the time too. I think it's more of a culturally accepted thing to say, even though it's really not encouraging, just stating the obvious. When I'm overwhelmed or having a hard day, it's hard to take that kindly because they leave it at that instead of offering to help me get something or help calm a crying child or at least saying something more encouraging like "You're doing a great job" or "You have a beautiful family" or "I know it's hard right now, but you can do this," etc. Simply stating the obvious isn't helpful or very kind to a young mother, especially if she's overwhelmed or its been hard lately. On the better days, it's easier to respond with something like, "and my heart is full too." And though we aren't victims for having children, it's still okay to acknowledge the reality of it being hard and tiring and sometimes not knowing what to do (just like with monetary jobs), even though our kids are worth all the effort and care. It's healthy for us to acknowledge our own humanness as parents, and we're not ungrateful or a victim for not enjoying every moment of parenthood and for sometimes having a hard time seeing the good. It's not meant to always be happy or easy, but it is worth it.
I also have low blood pressure and I've always heard from every doc "oh wow you have low BP how great! this is amazing!". But living with super low BP is actually quite challenging at times. I have to try not to faint over lots of random scenarios.. ie. bee stings, accidentally cutting myself in the kitchen.. idk. Doctors are always so excited it's not high that they fail to mention how to make it higher lol
Yes, me too, though it's only a problem when I'm pregnant. I'm sure you know to stay super hydrated. My thyroid has never had a problem but my grandmother and her side of the family has a history of weight loss and low blood pressure issues due to hypothyroidism and I've noticed I feel better when I'm getting enough iodine.

I know tmi, but how do you stay regular on so much meat?

I just found that book now with my 8th pregnancy! 😩 oh how i wish i had known about it 15 years ago
Whip eggs and mix them in with your hot cereals. It's a great way to add protein, and you don't even notice.
Came to the comments to say this as well😊
I’ve heard people do that! Sounds like a good way to up protein. I may try it myself~
Never heard of this. Very interesting!
I also do this! I add an egg per half cup of oats every time I make them

Love those last statements about laying down our lives for another rather than preserving ourselves and embracing children. Makes me emotional.
Congratulations again you guys- Katie you are glowing you look fantastic 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 God bless your family 🙏

Low blood pressure is such a pain! I have too. Try to make sure you get enough electrolytes and iron.
It gets dark so early here in MN. With the time change, it can be as early as 4:30 come December!
Remember you guys Christ perfects us.we don't need to be perfectionists
In my third trimester I mostly only want carbs. I think this is ok, I make up for it by just drinking some protien powder drinks.
Check out the Real Food For Pregnancy book! It's very hard to meet babies dietary needs with a lot of carbs in your diet.
God bless you
You guys ROCK!❤
Do you leave your lovely yellow couches outside? They look a bit faded. Maybe there's covers
I noticed that too and was wondering why they didn’t cover them. Maybe the material is forgiving.
Is there going to be a place to rent that fast if you suddenly decide to move into a rental? I suppose there are probably air b-n-b's around.
Just curious where your children are when you film these or do you have help?
I knew there was no way Elisha was gonna shut up after the Intro. 😂

I once read a comment that said “ better for my hands to be full then empty” and I have used that ever since.
But surely you do have your hands full?! I have my hands full with one!

I don't take it negatively... I see it as people acknowledging that I'm juggling a lot and keeping it together 😅
Why is it that they are living in a tent? I havent listened in a while!
❤❤❤
Do your kids do maths at 530am?
I know, I heard that and went 😮
They must be up at 4- 5 am and doing a quick breakfast and right into it.
Well when you're going to sleep by 8pm, that's reasonable enough
It's probably not healthynto.concern yourself about all these vain body issues. Be grateful.younare fertile married and have a family.
Abortion is not anti children. It’s pro women’s health.
Abortion is taking a babies life. Period. I am sorry you have been decieved by our culture. Seek God and his truth. Praying for you.
How is murdering a child not anti children?
Oh my, you have been deceived my friend!
Doesn’t get more anti children than abortion. Literally.
